"What?! For real dude?!"

I immediately called up Kyle after the visit of the two prosecutors. I did that after gaining consciousness. I needed someone to listen to my rants. I explained to him in full detail, everything that transpired thirty minutes ago.

"Yeah. Strange."

I left out the things that happened to me, I didn't bother including it in my story for I think it's not good if others come to know about it.

"Though, I haven't heard of those people." He snatched my laptop and flipped it open.

"You know, it's locked."

"Then you unlock it!" He handed -- kinda shoved -- it to me and I typed in my password, careful in not revealing it to Kyle, just in case he hacks into it. Once I opened the desktop, I rapidly clicked on the browser and typed in both of their names; don't ask me how I spelt it.

I read out one of the articles that I clicked. It was like a Wikipedia page but better. "Both prosecutors have been giving out justice for a number of months after they arrived in the country."

"A number of months? Like how many precisely?" Kyle questioned, looking over the screen.

"It doesn't say. Oh look, something interesting is written here."

We've acquired some information that they were just rookies who became prodigies in just a month! We can't get more information out of them, except their names and profession for they remained silent about it all.

"They're those suspicious people!" Kyle commented, "Like they target people and do things on them."

"Take back what you said this instant, you foolish skater from the land of foolishness!"

I almost yelped when I heard the familiar voice of the prodigy. She stood in the bedroom doorway, a whip in hand. Seeing she had a weapon, I backed off a little.

"What in the world are you doing back here?!" I managed to say, rather, shout. She still sent shivers down my spine. She seemed to pull something out of her skirt pocket, a paper?

"I am now your legal guardian. Therefore, you shall follow my commands!" She told me, eyes sharply directed in my direction. Legal guardian? Is she kidding?

"Now, now, don't be harsh on Ms. Cray." Another familiar voice boomed but they were hidden from my view.

"Are you kidding? You two, my legal guardians?" I suppressed a laugh that wanted to escape my lips.

"Do I look like I'm kidding?!" She sent of a warning lash near my bed, which sent a terrified feeling in my gut.

"A-ah!" I screamed. Kyle scrambled off my bed and ran outside to the hallway. He made sure to not go in contact with her or else, he'll get a lash.

"Now let's see here. How else shall I test you, Mika Cray?" She questioned with a sneer. My eyes wandered off to her brown leather whip and I immediately regretted it. Seeing the look in her eyes, I knew what she would do next, lash me with that whip of hers.

I was prepared for this, I was prepared to get hit. As reflex, my arms went to cover my body while I said, "Matte Kudasai!"

My eyes were closed therefore, I couldn't see it yet I was sure, it didn't hit me. What I heard was the snapping of the end of the whip, recoiling back to its owner and a satisfied 'hmph'. I forced my eyes open to see her staring down at me. She wasn't sneering anymore, she had a mysterious smile in her lips.

I felt like a little kid again, being reprimanded for my actions. Her face was that of a mother, who wanted to apologize for saying harsh words to their child and apologizing for what she did. That's what I can see on her now, like she's a different person.
