It was already afternoon. Thankfully, the rain had already stopped and I figured that I should go and do something in the shopping district, which was just near my place. I was planning to go there alone but, looks like I had to be with someone.

"You could show her around, I mean, she's just a new person here."

And that is how I became stuck with the most distant and probably, the silent one, also known as Michiko. Thankfully, she wasn't the type that day.

"So this is the district. There are lots of expensive boutiques here so I always go to the inexpensive ones."

The shopping district is one of my favourite places to go mainly because I get to unwind. Even if sometimes I don't get to purchase stuff, I'm alright with just strolling around and admiring the clothes in the shops.

"Show me around the expensive ones."

"Sure!"

I led her to different shops such as F21 and Mango. I couldn't bring myself inside the stores, I don't think I'm rich enough to even buy something from there.

At Forever 21, -- which actually fit Michiko since she's twenty-one -- she ransacked every clothes rack in the store. I didn't know she was the type to buy such things, she was too silent to read.

"Mika, you should try this."

It was the Haute Rogue Maxi Skirt Romper, one that I recognized since I looked over to their website. It wasn't on sale and my eyes almost balled out when I looked at it.

"A whooping 78 dollars? Oh no, Michiko, I am not trying this."

"I'm giving it to you for free, you sure you're rejecting such offer?"

I hesitated when she tried getting the piece of clothing in my hand; I was holding it? She's giving it to me for free, how could I deny?

"Free?"

"Yes, unless you want to pay me back and please, double it." She snickered and talked to a saleslady, who was busy accommodating us. She looked really frantic since Michiko ordered her to almost take every piece of clothing of her size from the back of the store.

Hearing that remark, I crumpled the romper in my hands and went over to the fitting room to try it on. It looked great on me and the size was perfect. I can now see why Michiko would bother buying me such expensive clothes, I'm not that type.

I went out of the room and looked for her. I saw her sitting at a sofa that isn't far from where I was. She instantly noticed me but her stoic expression didn't change.

"Looks good." She handed me another one. Now it was a sweetheart-neckline sparkling powder white gown. The neckline had some white gems on it, which made it look more dazzling.

"But Michiko, this is too much! I'm okay with the romper-"

"No, now fit that on and make it quick!"

I was startled by her tone so I quickly slipped off the romper and tried on the gown. I liked how it looked perfect to me, almost like it was made for me. Though, I can't quite put my finger as to why I felt a sudden feeling of the past when I tried it on.

I swiftly left the fitting room to show Michiko though, she just told me to change back to my normal clothes. Great, time got wasted.

At the cashier, I couldn't quite count how many pieces of clothing she bought. When the cashier was going to punch the tag on my romper, Michiko stopped her.

"Is something wrong?" She asked.

"Please separate that from what I bought."

"You technically bought mine too..." I grunted.

The cashier nodded and separated it in a different bag and receipt. When I took a look at how much those two cost, my eyes would've been burned just by looking at it.

"478 dollars?! The gown had an amount of 400 dollars?!" I gasped, I don't think I can take any of that information.

She only raised an eyebrow at me and slipped in her card at the cashier. I thought she was going to pay in cash! God, how much is left on that card after all these purchases we made?!

In total, we had three large yellow paper bags in ourselves. The third one is mine, which I was carrying. I still had to do something at the cashier so I was left behind when Michiko went out, but luckily, she waited for me.

On my way out, I bumped into someone in my rush. I fell to the floor, rubbing my head. When I looked up and noticed who it was, I immediately apologized. She was enthralling, the way her charcoal gray hair flowed down her back was just enough to send me in a mild daze. She looked like a rich kid, her outfit says much.

When she spoke and her ashen gray eyes stared back on mine, I snapped out.

"You should watch where you're going!"

Someone caught up with her, who looked like her, a rich kid. He had a short spiky brunette hair and his eyes were as black as ever. He looked like the copycat of Michiko, except that he was a boy.

"Sorry about my company." He offered up a hand which I took.

"Come on, you idiot!" She pulled him by the collar, which I thought to be brutal.

I glance at them and then continued on my way. Michiko had a drink in hand, which obviously was a matcha one since it was green. I guess this gal is pretty much addicted to green tea or, mainly, tea itself.

"What took you so long?" She asked as soon as she noticed me.

"I accidentally bumped into someone..." I nervously chuckle.

"Clumsy."

We went on our way to Mango, and another shopping spree happened. This time, I didn't get anything.

---

When we got home, we were obviously tired.

"Did you seize the whole store, Michi?"

"Pretty much, brother. It is not like any of the shopping districts back home."

I can only look over the two. Sure, I said they didn't share similarities but now, I can see it.

Suddenly, just after setting all the bags down, a knock was heard on the door. I opened it to see who it was; I was shocked to see police officers and the student, Jay Shadowind. From what I can remember, Fran mentioned that he was a detective.

The question is, and this is what I asked them,"What are you guys doing here?"

"We were informed that someone is guilty in this house."

"Guilty? Of what?" I questioned further. We don't have criminals stashed away here excuse you officers.

"We are in no position to tell you anything. Now tell me,"

Fear took over me when I heard the next set of words.

"Where is the State Prosecutor Franziska von Karma? She's under arrest."

OOPS WHAT IS THAT TWIST?!

Anyway I'm so happy because they crossed paths!! Oh and I just basically described the gown in the cover XD
