A/N sorry its short I'm adding onto it later tonight, but I just wanted to give you something for being so awesome!

Unkown POV

My plan was working perfectly. No one knew my alter-ego, the human identity I use to remain hidden and try to blend in with the others. I dug my protruding claws into my sweatshirt pocket's and pulled the hood over my head and my highly sensitive ears. I snickered to myself, letting the tip of my canine teeth bite into my bottom lip. I watched as my Enchantress turned around in a sparkling dress, admiring herself and smiling stupidely with her two best freinds. That was when he came in-her Protector. A growl escaped from my lips just as a Mom trudging her squealing toddler behind her passed by me. She squinted her eyes and me and hurried her kid away while I winked at her grinning widely so she can see my teeth. She gasped and ran away in the other direction.

I turned my attention back towards the dress shop window, sliding my claw against the glass. I pursed my lips, now where did my little Enchantress go? Her pathetic excuse for a human of friends sat lazily on the dressing room chairs. I inhaled a large gulp of her sweet scent. I wanted her so badly. I wanted her to be mine. I'll just have to deal with that little Protector first. I pulled down my hood as my body transformed into my human persona. Valerie belongs to me.

Valerie POV

I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as Quinn drove me home in her baby blue VW convertible. The hood of the car was rolled down and my blonde hair blew in front of my eyes. I laughed and threw my hands above my head singing poorly to the Rihanna song on the radio. Eric cringed in the backseat at my singing, but smiled smugly at me through the backseat mirror-because he knew. He knew how I felt about Chase.

It was a painful reminder. How could I do this to Chris? He was the one who was there for me when Chase wasn't. HE saved me, not my poor excuse of a Protector. I rolled my eyes and pulled my arms down besides me, leaning against the car door and pressing my palm into my cheek. Eric was holding the hangar with our dresses as they blowed in the winds. The fabric flapped back and forth on his lap. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I yanked it out from my jeans. "Hey." I answered smoothly, brushing a piece of hair out of my face as the wind whipped against my skin.

"I can't stop thinking about you." Chris whispered through the phone, and I couldn't help but wish that someone else was saying that to me. Stop it. I told myself, shaking my head. Chris is your boyfriend. Chase is your Protector. It would never work.

"And why is that?" I giggled trying to remind myself how much I loved Chris.

"I was just thinking about how a girl like you could possibly like a guy like me."

I smiled to myself feeling my cheeks blush. Quinn winked at me and mouthed, "Who is it?" seeing that I was on the phone. Eric chuckled in the backseat.

"How could a girl ever stay away from a guy like you?"

"Stop making me blush." Chris joked. "I have a suprise for you tonight."

"I love suprises." I purred seductively into the phone.

"Who are you talking to?" Quinn mouthed to me as she pressed on the brake at a stop sign.

"I didn't know you liked suprises." Eric teased, obviously having heard our conversation.

I stuck my tounge out at him. "Well then your going to love me."

I bit my tounge. What was I supposed to say to that? That I had loved him already? Did I...? Did I really love Chris the way I loved Chase? I banged my head against dashboard as Quinn abrubtly pressed onto the gas. Eric snickered in the backseat. I narrowed my eyes at him, rubbing my forehead.

"I can't wait to see you tonight, babe." I told Chris, trying to change the subject.

"You don't have to wait till tonight to see me."

"What do you mean?" I laughed as Quinn drove down my familiar winding street, all the trees were in full bloom now and middle schoolers passed by us on their bicycles.

"You'll see." Chris laughed, hanging up on me just as Quinn turned onto my driveway.

And there he was. He was standing in the middle of my lawn, his hair slicked back and he was wearing a fancy black tuxedo. In his hands was a bouquet of roses and next to him written in the grass with rose petals was the words, Will you Valerie be so enchanting and be my date? I blushed at the play on words, hopping out of the car as Quinn pulled out her camera to take pictures as she exclaimed, "This is so cute!"

"What are you doing?" I laughed as I jumped into his arms.

"I never officially asked you to the Spring Fling. I thought you deserved something big." He grinned down at me, hugging me tightly against him.

I nestled my head into his neck and pecked his lips lightly. "I'd love to be your date."

He beamed down at me and handed me the bouquet of red roses that had a note attached to it. "These are for you, my date." He chuckled.

"Why thank you." I laughed as I opened up the attached card. Inside it read, I'll love you Valerie until the last rose dies. "Well that isn't very long." I teased, and as if on cue, Chris pulled out a plastic rose and handed it to me.

"This is the last rose." He said, kissing me. "I'll always love you, Valerie."

My breath caught in my throat. I didn't know what to say to him. Chris made me feel so happy, safe, and was someone I could see myself with for a long time. Then Chase on the other hand was rude, a jerk, but incredibly handsome and so irresistible. Why did I always have to go for the bad guys? Then my phone vibrated in my pocket. "Sorry, one second." I told Chris who nodded as Quinn hopped out of the car screaming, "That was so cute! I love how the last rose is plastic! So romantic!"

My heart stopped when I looked down at the text.

Chase: I see you.

Me: Are you mad?

I bit my lip, looking over my shoulder as Chris in his cute little tuxedo all ready for our date.

Chase: Just you wait and see.

Something told me that my date with Chris was going to be interesting.
