Katy Brooke POV
Enchantress 3
He was an Lawless Member. His one mission was to kill me. I was supposed to fear him. I was supposed to destroy him. Yet, I loved him.
Nate was the only one who understood how hard it was to keep your life a secret. It was hard knowing that I am way more important than any of them, and that I can end up saving them all, but they'd never know or care. Nate trained me. He said that he was going to protect me and would never let his kind touch me. And I believed him.
"Hey water girl." Melanie smirked at me. Jonny's arm was around her shoulder as he tugged her close against him. I bit my lip as her shoulder brushed against me. "Whoops." She giggled as she untwisted the cap on her water bottle and pour it over my head.
Jonny and her laughed. I gripped my books tighter against my chest. "Look everyone! Water girl did it again! She's soaking." She laughed, picking up a piece of my soggy hair and flicking it with her polished nails.
Everyone in the hallway seemed to stop and stare at me. They all taunted me with nicknames calling me things like;
"Freak of nature."
"Slippery hands."
I ran past Melanie and Jonny as they yelled names at me. It was times like this when I need Nate the most.
I punched in my gargage code and slipped inside my house, wiping the tears from my face. I parked my bike against the wall next to the garbage and when inside the house I threw my books and coat onto the floor, tore off my shoes, and ignored my foster Mom who was in the kitchen talking on the phone as I walked past her.
"Don't get water all over!" She rolled her eyes at me as I ran upstairs.
I tried to get ride of the redness around my eyes. Nate already hurt one of my classmates when they had cornered me outside of school one day, filming me as I begged them to stop while they kept yelling at me to, "Do the things with your hands!"
I twisted my knob open and slammed the door behind me, locking it and sighing happily. I had survived yet another day of highschool. When I was Nate I forgot what he really was. Besides being extremely sexy, I sometime forget he's not normal. And what I forget the most is that the others are not like him.
A hand clamped down over my mouth. Nate taught me what to do when I was attacked but all my instincts seem to freeze. A Lawless member dressed in a black cape that closely resembled Channing Tatum grinned at me as he pinned me against my door his hand pressed against my lips. He chuckled and put a finger to his lips telling me to be quiet. I nodded and he removed his hand.
"Hello Enchantress." He smiled at me.
"What do you want?" I stuttered, gripping the door handle when he grabbed me and threw me against the wall so that I fell onto the desk my Foster Dad had spent so much time constructing. It collapsed onto the floor from my added weight and wood chips sprinkled into my hair. My head banged against the wall.
"What's going on up there?" My Foster Mom screamed from downstairs.
The Lawless reached over and picked me off the floor. I squirmed in his iron grip as his hands wrapped around me neck. He slammed my head into the wall. My vision wavered and I was seeing duplicates. "Where's your little boyfriend now?" The Lawless snickered, gripping my neck tightly before throwing me onto my bedsheets. My head rocheted against my backboard.
"He'll get you." I glared at the Lawless member, cowering against my backboard and holding my knees to my chest.
"That's cute." He grinned. "You actually trust him."
