PLEASE READ THE NOTE AT THE BOTTOM TOO!

I'm still alive, but I'm barely breathing.

"Valerie, please wake up." He coarse voice whispers through my ear, shaking me softly. "I need you." He tells me. "I love you."

Every moment we've spent. Every second his eyes grazed onto me. All of our time together flashed past my eyes. His charming smile, his enticing smirk, and his constantly spike hair. I'm brought back to the times when we were together-before all of this. When he used to hold me in his arms as we would watch a movie on his couch and how whenever his hands touched mine a spark would ignite within me.Then I'm brought back to seeing him and Rachel together, and her sitting on his lips while he pressed his lips against hers. I remember him chasing me out of the movie theatre I had seen them in, Quinn was busy buying popcorn at the time and Chase had followed me into the bathroom until security had to remove him. I vowed never to let a boy use my like that ever again.

I guess history repeats itself.

"Why isn't she waking up?" Greg yelled. And I felt my body being shook back and forth.

It would be the easiest thing to just let go. To let there be four Enchantresses. But anyone could just give up. And I'm not just anyone.

I never thought that I would love Chase this much. Well, I also never thought that my parents weren't really my parents, or that I was destined to save the world. It's hard to believe I don't remember anything about my past-my real family, my life before the Lawless took over. As I laid there in the middle of the football field a light ignited inside of me. I blocked out the voices that tried to bring me back to reality and followed the light-a yellow orb that warmed up my insides with its familiarity. The light brightened and blinded me. I suddenly felt like I was falling and I screamed, but in reality my lips never moved.

Then everything just stopped. I was no longer laying on the field in my tattered pom dress. I was standing on a beautiful meadow. My hair wasn't a messy pile of knots, it was gently combed out and dipped below my shoulders. A gasped escaped my parched lips, as I turned in circles admiring the flowers around me that bloomed as my hand grazed upon them. The dark clouds overhead broke open and the sun shined down directly above me. I looked up, blinded by the brilliant sunlight that made the silky white dress I was wearing glow. There was something familiar about this meadow.

Cheerful laughter broke through the peaceful silence. I turned, my hair brushing against my rosy cheeks towards the opposite end of the meadow where there stood a little girl. She smiled at me, raised her hand to wave. Her white dress blew up in the wind as she ran towards me, laughing contagiously. I held out my hands for her. "Mommy, Mommy!" She giggled, running straight through me like I was a ghost. Trailing behind her, was a beautiful woman with the same golden blonde hair that twirled down her back like delicate thread. I watched as the woman swooped the little girl up in her arms, twirling her above her head as the little girl squealed delightedly. I smiled, watching as the Mom drowned the girl in kisses, tickling her tiny stomach and making her cheeks redden. It wasn't until the little girl-gasping for breath from laughter-looked up at me that I could see her eyes. One was a milky blue and the other a deep forest green.

That was when I realized that this little girl was me. And the woman she was with was my Mom. I took a tenative step forward, the grass parted underneath me. "Mom." I gasped, but she couldn't see me. My miniature self twirled around in circles and birds surronded me, they sang along with me as I galloped across the field. That's when it all came back to me.
