Valerie POV

Bayside was invaded.

The fire alarm went off and the sprinklers poured down on us, making my perfect hair and makeup drip down on my face. "Screw this." Katy muttered, ripping her dress so that it was easy to walk in. Then she grabbed the fabric of mine and shredded it in half so that the hem line now reached the top of my knees. "It's go time." She chuckled.

"So what are we looking at?" Greg asked the two newcomers.

"The Lawless are keeping students captive in the gym, all the exits are blocked." The girl replied, smoothly checking me out with a smug smirk on her face. The boy followed closely behind her, he caught my eye and winked at me.

"So what do we do?" I asked them.

"Fight our way out." The boy smirked, clasping his hands together.

"And who are you again?" Chase asked them, breathing heavily as the sprinkles rained down on him.

"Derek." The boy answered gruffly, seizing Chase up. "That's Grace." He pointed towards the girl.

"How'd you find us?" Katy asked them, wiping the water the poured over her eyes.

"We saw the Youtube videos, it wasn't hard. Do you guys even understand what it means to stay low?" Derek laughed.

"That doesn't matter right now." Grace interuppted him. "Is he on our side?" She pointed towards Nate's wolf form who was slashing his claw into Logan's wolf's face making black blood pour from his fur and drip onto the floor. Katy nodded. Nate growled as Logan pushed him into a locker, smashing it in and ruffling the trohpy cases and flyers. Logan raised his claw and slashed Nate in the abdomen. Nate howled loudly and it echoed off the halls. Nate slammed Logan into the trophy case making glass fly everywhere. We ducked down, sheilding our faces.

"How many of them are there?" I asked.

"Hundreds." Grace replied, standing up from her crouch on the floor.

"I'll take the gym." I told them when Chase put his hand on my shoulder.

"You can't go alone."

"Quinn and Eric are in there." I told him. "I can take care of myself."

"She's right, we can't all go with her." Derek said to Chase. "I'll get the back entrances by the cafeteria. Grace and you," He pointed to Katy. "will take care of those in the football field. And you two can take the woods outside the school." He pointed to Greg and Chase.

"Be careful." I whispered to Chase, caressing his face with my hand.

He wiped the water that dripped on my cheek with his fingertips. "Don't pull anything stupid, stupid." He smiled.

"As long as you don't get yourself killed." I whispered to him, reaching up on my tip toes to kiss him lightly on the lips. "Damn," I sighed. "I've missed your lips."

Chase grinned. "That's because I don't smell like wet dog."

"Enough you two love birds." Katy laughed, pulling us away from eachother.

"If you ever need me just touch your ankle and whisper my name." Chase informed me.

"That's stupid." I laughed.

"Promise me you will." He said sternly, looking me in the eyes. "I'm your Protector afterall. You have to listen to my advice under all circumstances."
