I pulled Mr Adams along. We were getting closer. He looked rugged and tired. I probably looked the same.
We drove a short distance and left the car to travel the rest of the way on foot when the road ended. I tied Mr Adams's hands behind his back and we set off.
The plan was to make them believe I captured him, so I could get back in with them. Mr Adams and I would most likely get split up, so we would both look for Madison, Liam, Nico and Matt, regroup and get out.
We reached the base. It looked like a private building in the middle of a bushy area. Nothing suspicious. I walked around back to where the emergency entrance was. There was a heavy iron door, so I banged on it with my fist.
"Open up!" I shouted. "Initiation code Alpha-261-Subpar-0- Echo-3."
Lucky I still remembered that.
We waited for about 10 minutes, when the door opened and we were pulled inside, the door shutting behind us. In front of me, was Greg.
He was still wearing that same smirk on his face as always. I stood there with a blank face, still clutching Mr Adams's bonds.
"Well, look who's back," Greg said, walking to me. His face was right in front of mine. I could feel his breath, but I didn't move. "It's the redhead. What your name again? Oh, wait, it doesn't matter. You people don't have names. Not anymore."
"Her name is Emma," Mr Adams snarled.
"Oh, so you two know each other," Greg remarked. "I thought she just randomly picked someone up from the street. Well, it's that way for her, anyway."
Mr Adams fell silent, staring at the ground. I almost smiled. It felt nice being stood up for that way.
Greg faced me again. He spat in my face as he said, "Report to your room. We'll decide what to do with you from there on. Leave the man."
I released the rope that held Mr Adams, suddenly feeling alone. They would notice if I even looked at him, so I quickly walked off.
I was on my own again, but if this succeeded, I would get everyone back.

I sat on my bed, unwrapping the bandage from my leg. I was finally free from it after so many weeks.
I was put to bed rest for a while, since I had a concussion and a wound in the leg. Luckily, I was only hit through the side of my leg, so it wasn't too terrible.
I got up and stretched my legs. I had to report to the mission centre for my first mission since I came back. Maybe I'd get the chance to find someone.

I walked through the dark, damp hallways. Every now and then someone would pass me, but they didn't pay any attention to me. Nobody even glanced at each other.
I reached a small room where some people silently gave me a hand gun and some spare bullets. There were little pockets hidden in my jacket, so I put everything in there. Then I walked out and went to the car garage. I saw the car where I was supposed to be and approached it. The other people were already there.
We were a small group of three. There was an 30 year old woman and a boy of about 8. I raised my eyebrows. Wow, I guess they finally got some younger people in the mix.
I stared at the boy. He looked blank faced ahead of him and climbed into the car. The whole deal struck me. People were being forced to do dangerous things for a cause they don't even fight for. I was just thinking about myself and my friends, but what about everyone else?
I had no time to think any further, as I quickly climbed into the car. The woman handed earpieces to me and the boy and we all drove off.
The mission was to steal some sort of computer chip or something. It wasn't a super important thing, but it would be helpful for them to have. I didn't get super important mission yet. I hoped I never would.
We stopped in front of this technology company building. It was only three stories high and was completely white, except for the logo hanging in front. We walked around the back and got to a smaller wooden door. The woman stood back and shot at the lock a few time, relaoded her gun and walked in, with us following.
The security system was disabled prior to this, as usual, so we sneaked around for a while with no interruption. On the second floor we reached a metal door with an electronic lock.
"Override," the woman said into her earpiece and the door clicked softly. It was open.
We walked through into a room with rows of computers in every direction. We quickly went through the rows as alarms started blaring. Soon, people would start flooding in to stop us and I didn't want that to happen. We had to do this quickly. We reached a cabinet like machine. I pressed the buttons that they told me to beforehand and the compartment slid open. Densely packed in there, was the chip we were looking for. I slowly took it out and the boy took it from me. I guess it would be the safest with a little kid.
We were making our way back, when the door opened and about 15 people stormed in. We met them head on and started fighting. The first man I went for was easily knocked out with a kick and a punch to the temple. The second man caught me off guard. He grabbed me from behind, holding me ny the neck. I tried to wriggle free, but I couldn't get out. I started to panic. I couldn't get caught now. My vision went red and adrenaline kicked in.
I gripped the man's arm, digging my fingernails into it. He let out a yell and I flipped him over my shoulder and he fell to the ground. He tried to stand up, but I kicked him back down, taking out my gun and pointing it to his head.
My vision cleared up and my aldrenalin faded away. I stood there, breathing heavily with my gun trained on the man. He looked at me, terrified and not daring to move or speak. I glanced around and saw that all the other men were lying on the ground. The other two were looking at me, waiting for me to finish it. They would know if I didn't do it, I said to myself.
I closed my eyes and pulled the trigger. There was a bang and the man fell to the ground.
We turned and ran.
