Slamming my locker closed, I swung my bag over my shoulder and huffed. I was so happy that prom was in a few days and then graduation was around the corner and I was ready to get my diploma and be over with school.

"Hey y'all." I said walking with my girls.

"We need to go find our prom dresses, prom is right around the corner." Ella told us.

"I know right, I have an idea of what I wanna wear. But I don't even know, so we can go to the mall today." I told them.

"Yeah, I'm down." Mia said and Ella agreed with her.

With that, we walked into class. I zoomed through classes, and it was finally the end of the school.

I waited for the girls by the parking lot and we got inside Mia's car and she drove over to our local mall.

After reaching the mall, we started walking around looking at every and random stores.

"How does this look?" Ella said putting a blue sheer dress up to her body and looking down before looking back at us.

"It looks nice, but let's keep looking."

After about 2 hours of looking, we all found our dresses and I was so excited for prom now.

"So who y'all taking to prom?" Mia asked us.

It then dawned on me, that me and Lucas still haven't spoken since yesterday and he probably wouldn't even want to take me to prom.

"I already got a few boys lined up. Just depends who I wanna fuck that night." Ella said.

I rolled my eyes and chuckled. "Ella you are such a mess. But honestly, I don't even know. Probably going to go alone." I told them.

"What happened with you and Lucas?" Mia asked me.

After telling them the whole story, Mia understood why Lucas was mad.

"Sis, he caught you kissing and hugging with another guy. Don't think he gonna be all happy and shit."

"I know! But I was just in the moment. I just.. I don't know." I pouted. We reached the food court and all grabbed seats.

"Asia, you still love him?" Ella asked me.

"Who, Caleb?"

She nodded her head yes.

"I really don't know. I mean, I was going to have a kid with him and he was my first love despite his crazy ways. But my heart is currently with Lucas."

"All I'm going to tell you is, follow your heart then."

Even my heart didn't know what to do. "Thank for the advice y'all."

"You know we love you." They told me.

After eating, we got up and all left.

I got home and put my hair up in a ponytail. After trying on my prom dress again, I was so excited to pop out.

I took of my dress and laid on my bed and started thinking about things that has been happening in the past few months.

Ella's voice "follow your heart then." kept echoing in my head and I knew I had to do what I had to do.

I sat up on my bed and reached over for my phone and sent Lucas a text.

Me: Lucas, I know I'm probably the last person you even want to see on your phone right now. But, I know I have to follow my heart and I just want you to know that I really care about you, and I don't and never wanted to hurt you. I was just tangled in so much emotions and I just didn't know how to unwrap myself from it and I'm not saying that makes my actions correct. I love you Lucas, I really do.
