I woke up and I quickly got ready and dressed. I couldn't stop staring at my wedding ring and I was so happy that I was engaged with the love of my life.
I went back into the room and saw Lucas still sleeping, I went over to him and touched his back to wake him up.
"Lucas wake up, the appointment in an hour." I told him since I was able to push my pregnancy appointment back till Lucas came.
He smacked his lips, "We got enough time."
I went over to spray some perfume on me, "Boy, if I have to go over there and wake you up, just watch." I told him rolling my eyes.
He didn't say anything back, so I set my perfume down and I walked over in front of the bed and ripped the bed sheets off of him.
"Lucas wake your funky ass up."
"Man chill bruh." He said trying to reach for the sheets from me.
"Fine. Here. I don't care." I threw the sheets back at him and walked out of the room.
I went downstairs and went into the kitchen and I made cereal and sat at the table and started eating it.
About 15 minutes later, Lucas walked into the kitchen and he had his clothes on and ready to go, but I was already annoyed with him, so I didn't want to be around his presence.
I got up and went to rinse my bowl and I walked out the room but he held onto my arm and pulled me back.
"Why you mad for?"
I crossed my arms and mean mugged him, "I'm not mad."
"I'm ready to go, we got a whole 45 minutes left. I don't know why you trippin' for."
"But I'm not though."
"So gimme a kiss."
"No." I pulled my arm back to get out of his grasp. "And don't touch me." I walked off and grabbed my keys off the counter and walked outside and got inside my car.
A few moments later, Lucas got inside but he was on the driver side since my feet were getting swollen and I didn't feel like driving.

After we arrived to the hospital, we were immediately taken into one of the hospital rooms.
"Hello, Asia Thompson and Lucas Brown. You're here for your second trimester check up?" The female doctor asked us.
"Yes we are." I replied back and Lucas just nodded his head back.
"Alright good." She went over to the counter and reached up for the medical gloves and started putting it on her hands.
She grabbed a seat while I laid back on the hospital bed and Lucas stood besides me holding onto my hands.
"So how has your first trimester been?"
"Uh... It wasn't as bad as I thought. I didn't get much nausea, I've just been a little hormonal."
"That's very normal. So now that you have finished your first trimester and you're entering your second. Some symptoms will be leg cramps, abdominal pain, heart pain, aching back and puffiness and that's just some of the things."
"Oh god. It's going to worth it though."
"It really is. Once you see your baby, you'll forget about all those symptoms."
I just nodded my head and started thinking about my child and holding him or her. The doctor got up and grabbed a lubricating gel and a transducer.
