"i can't focus anymoreee i wanna go homeee," selly whined at her best friend, guan lin, who was sitting beside her in the library. their end of year examinations were coming and both of them often met up to study together in he library.

"hang on, you can do this selly, just a few more chapters," guan lin tried motivating her.

"A FEW MORE CHAPTERS?? are you kidding me?? i really can't guan lin," she sighed as she slouched back onto her chair.

"we have to do well for this exam, i can't afford failing, we can't afford failing," guan lin told her.

"you're still the same as always, you always wouldn't go and play with me and insisted on doing your homework when you were a kid, what more can i expect when you grow up," selly pouted.

guan lin looked up from his text book and looked at selly. he felt quite guilty, he had always been rejecting selly when she asked him to hang out with her because he was always busy studying. he knew that selly thought that he regarded his studies before her but the truth was that she regarded selly more than almost everything. he cared for his best friend a lot and sometimes his affection for selly was something even more than best friends.

"okay okay i'm sorry, let's just finish this chapter then i'll get you as many tubs of ice creams and packets of cookies as you want okay?" guan lin smiled at selly a little.

"fine, you better get me those," selly giggled before going back to studying. but guan lin couldn't. his eyes were fixated on selly who looked so beautiful without trying. he just couldn't seem to take his eyes off selly.

"what are you looking at? go study," selly snapped guan lin out of his thoughts which caused guan lin to blush. he quickly turned around, avoiding eye contact with selly.

the two of them continued studying for the next hour and both of them were getting tired, especially selly.

suddenly, guan lin felt something on his shoulder. he looked down to see selly's small head lying on his shoulder, her eyes shut close.

"aigoo this girl," he sighed as he cautiously took his jacket from his bag and put it over selly's sleeping body without waking her up. his eyes slowly fell onto selly's sleeping figure, then to her facial features. he uncautiously smiled to himself and that was when he realised

he liked selly - more than just best friends.

"i think i like you selly. i really do. what are you doing to my heart?" he slowly carassed selly's hair.

"what am i doing to your heart?" guan lin almost jumped when selly lifted her head from his shoulder.

"i...i..." guan lin stuttered, at a loss for words.

he was a very shy guy and he didn't dare to confess to selly in front of her face.

"nevermind. i thought i heard you say something about liking me. i must have been dreaming," selly said as she looked away.

"no! i... i like you kim selly, i really do, will you... be...be my girlfriend?" guan lin shyly asked as he internally face palmed himself for blurting out his confession.

great. you just confessed to your best friend and she would probably think you are nuts, he thought to himself.

selly broke into a smile as she scootef closer to guan lin and ruffled his hair giggling,"yea why not?"

guan lin's eyes widened, "r...really?"

"yea really, how could i reject you after you made my heart flutter so much?" selly replied before she pecked guan lin on the cheeks making him smile like an idiot.

"i really really like you," guan lin pulled selly into his embrace, feeling like the happiest guy on earth.
