"bye jagi," yongguk smiled at hanuel as he waved to her slightly. hanuel blushed as she waved back at yongguk before he turned around and hurried off for his after-school dance practice.

yongguk had confessed to hanuel yesterday and strangely, hanuel accepted him. hanuel was known to be a cold because she was cheated on by her ex-boyfriend that she dated for 2 whole years. but recently, yongguk - one of the school's flower boy, started hanging out with hanuel. slowly, hanuel and yongguk started getting closer, yongguk was a really kind and sweet, and was the only boy that gained hanuel's trust and warmed hanuel's cold heart.

hanuel smiled to herself but as she was about to make her way home, she realised she was still holding on to yongguk's water bottle.

"aish, i forgot to pass this back to yongguk," hanuel sighed as she turned back and ran to the dance room.

once she reached the dance room, the door was half-opened but and was about to enter it, she heard a familiar voice speaking from inside.

"i did it yall'," the voice spoke.

it was yongguk.

"wow you're really something huh. you actually made the cold princess hanuel fall for you," another voice spoke.

hanuel's eyes widened at the sound of her name. she stood at the door, eavesdropping on their conversation.

"now you got hanuel's heart and won the bet, what are you going to do with her now?" someone else said.

hanuel could hear her heart crack at whatever was said.

she couldn't believe what was going on.

she couldn't believe yongguk only made her fall in love with him just to win a bet.

why was he even betting on her? was she just a toy to him?

all these thoughts rushed through hanuel's head all at once as tears welled up in her eyes.

"i think i really fell for -" hanuel released her grip on yongguk's water bottle, causing him to freeze and turned to look at hanuel.

his eyes widened with shock and worry as he immediately got up and ran towards hanuel that was standing at the door.

his heart broke as he saw her teared up eyes.

"oh my god hanuel it isn't like what you think it is!" yongguk quickly said as he reached out to grab hanuel's arm but hanuel backed away.

her whole body was trembling.

she was cheated on yet again by another guy.

"bet? so all along you trying to get close to me was because of a bet you had?" she said in a shaky voice.

yongguk furrowed his eyebrows anxiously as he ran a hand through his hair.

"yes, it's true that i only hung out with you because of that at first but slowly i really really fell in love with you. i swear to god i meant everything i said to you yesterday when i confessed," he explained.

hanuel rolled her eyes as she tried to hold back her tears.

"oh yeah okay continue lying to me, to think i actually trusted you!" hanuel cried.

"i'm serious! can't you tell that my love for you was genuine?" yongguk said as he stared into hanuel's sorrowful eyes.

"just stop it kim yongguk. are you really going to keep on deceiving me?" hanuel looked at the ground.

"i just want to tell you that i love you choi hanuel. i love you for who you are, i love the way your front teeth sticks out when you smile, i love the way you tie your hair in such a high ponytail, i love the way you get frustrated when you aren't able to solve math questions, i love the way you look so innocent when you play with my cat and the list goes on. yes it's true i started 'liking' you with no intention of really liking you but i soon felt my heart racing faster for you. i'm not sweet-talking, i'm serious. i love you."

yongguk took a step forward but hanuel stayed put this time. she was to weak to move.

hanuel didn't know what to do. she really liked yongguk, but she had no idea whether to trust yongguk again or not. she had some serious trust issues and if yongguk was able to open up her heart, it meant she really loved him too.

"just trust me, i swear if i ever break your heart you can chop of my head, so don't leave me alright baby?" yongguk whispered as he held hanuel's hand gently.

hanuel's heart raced as she tried to calm herseld down from her overwhelming emotions.

"i don't know...i love you too..." hanuel muttered helplessly. her mind was in a whirl.

yongguk leaned in slowly, giving hanuel enough time to back away, but hanuel didn't budge. yongguk stared into hanuel's eyes as he tightened his grip on hanuel's arm.

their lips locked and their kiss was slow yet comforting. their lips moved in unison as yongguk's fingers traced down to hanuel's hand, interwining their fingers together.

and it was then hanuel decided she was going to give yongguk another chance.

yongguk broke the kiss first as his forehead against hanuel's, still waiting for her to respond.

"will you trust me again?" he whispered as his lips brushed against hanuel's slightly.

a tear rolled down hanuel's cheeks as she wrapped her arms around yongguk and burried her head into his chest, sobbing.

yongguk imeediately wrapped his arms around hanuel too as he placed his chin lightly on top of hanuel's head.

"i'm so sorry jagi, i love you." yongguk said softly as he caressed hanuel's brownish-blonde hair.

"i love you too," hanuel said in a muffled and almost inaudible whisper.
