"riles!!" a voice i missed so much called out as soon as i answered the skype call.

i smiled as soon as i saw euiwoong's face appear on my phone screen.

"annyeong euiwoong~" i greeted my best friend with a chuckle.

euiwoong and i were best friend's since kindergarten. but last year, i received a scholarship and had to move to america to study. of course i missed korea, my family and euiwoong, even though it's been half a year since i started studying in america, euiwoong never fails to call me everyday and we would end up chatting almost all night.

"guess what?" i asked euiwoong.

"what?" he replied, a smile still plastered on his face.

"my term break is coming..." i tried to control my grin as euiwoong listened to me attentively.

"...and i'm going back to korea for the next one month!"

euiwoong's jaw dropped as he broke into a huge grin.

"are you serious??" he asked as his eyes lit up.

i chuckled at his adorable reaction and nodded my head.

"oh my god! i finally get to see you again! i missed you so much riles!" he said excitedly.

"dude we literally skype and see each every night," i rolled my eyes playfully.

"not that i'm complaining..." i said to myself in a mumble.

"what did you say?" euiwoong asked as my eyes widened. how could euiwoong even saw me say that.

"uh n..nothing.." i responded with a small smile.

"i still can't believe you're coming back and i'm gonna' see you in person again," he ran a hand through his hair as he stared at me with a small smile.

my heart raced for a second.

it all felt so real.

it was as if euiwoong was there beside her.

that was how great technology was in this 21st century world.

"me neither," i responded.

we both fell into silence as we looked at each other through the small phone screen.

the silence wasn't awkward.

it was comforting.

i was so lost in his gaze that i didn't even realise him calling out to me.

"riles?"

"riley?"

i snapped out of my daydream.

"uh yeah euiwoong?" i replied a little embarrassed.

"i wanna' show you something," he said a little nervously.
