"daehwi!!" yeona exclaimed as she rushed towards daehwi who just exited the stage and engulfed him in a huge, warm hug.

"you did really well up there!" she praised him as he smiled shyly. daehwi had just debuted with his other members - donghyun, woojin and youngmin under his company brand new music. yeona, who was in a girl group that debuted under brand new music a few months ago came to support daehwi who was her close friend during their trainee days in brand new music as they were the same age.

"thanks yeona," daehwi smiled as he felt his heart rate speeding up. he couldn't deny the fact that after being such close friends with yeona for so long, he had developed feelings for her.

"yah yeona! didn't we do well too?" woojin sulked.

"you guys did very well too! good job!" yeona praised the other members which made them smile too.

the next day, yeona followed the boys to their outdoor event performance too.

daehwi was looking extremely nervous and awkward the whole day which made yeona worried.

"daehwi ah, gwenchana? you don't look very well," yeona asked daehwi, concerned.

"uhm i'm alright," daehwi smiled at yeona weakly.

"that's good, good luck for your stage later!" yeona smiled too as she ruffled daehwi's hair.

it was finally time for the boys stage so yeona went to the where the audience sat to watch them.

she smiled as she watched the boys slayed their dance moves, raps and singing but her eyes unknowingly fell onto daehwi. he looked really good and she can't help but smile at how he slayed the stage.

their performance soon ended and yeona clapped along with the audience.

"today, i would like to sing a special song for a special someone," daehwi suddenly spoke into mic suddenly. his eyes fell on yeona and and she felt her cheeks heat up.

what on earth was daehwi doing ?

he cleared his throat before his sweet voice echoed throughout the event space.

yeona's eyes were glued onto daehwi the whole time and she swore daehwi's gaze was on her the whole time too he sang, making her heart beat like crazy because she seemed to know exactly what daehwi was doing now.

he ended off the song and the audience cheered. this time, yeona didn't clap along with the audience because she couldn't even react.

"i prepared this song  for a very special person - " he paused for a person as he smiled at yeona's direction.

"- a very special person whom i really really like. so will thay very special person come up on the stage and accept this promise ring?" he finished off. daehwi tried his best in trying to keep calm but his heart was racing, not sure on how yeona would react.

"accept him!! accept him!! accept him!!" the crowed cheered.

before she could react, youngmin already came forward to drag a dumbfounded yeona up on stage.

as she stepped onto the stage, daehwi was standing in front of her, holding the promise ring in his hands nervously. their eyes locked and they immediately melted in each other's gaze.

"accept him!! accept him!! accept him!!" the crowd continued cheering.

"yeona-ah, i really like you, will you accept this?" daehwi asked yeona in a softer voice, his eyes searching yeona's for any sign of response.

yeona bit down on her lip as she felt het heart beat right out of her chest.

"okay alright alright! now can we get off the stage i feel so embarrassed," yeona said in a whisper, but she couldn't control her smile from appearing on her lips.

daehwi chuckled and he gently took yeona's hands and slipped on the promise ring onto her finger.

"i love you," daehwi whispered as he pulled yeona into a hug, a huge smile drawn on both of their faces as they stayed in each other's embrace, never wanting to let go.
