Rightfully Mine

Chapter 5: The Bonding

Bella's POV

Three hours behind the wheel, we finally arrived at the meeting place. Where one of the staff- social worker is waiting for us to guide us at the orphanage.

The guys initiated to introduced theirself to the guide, I didn't bother to do it for them.

"It's nice to meet you, Sir."I shake his hand.

"Same here. We are very pleased and grateful for your generosity. " The social worker looks like in his mid 40's. He looked very happy and warm. "Right this way, please."

I've never met him before, But I met the orphanage Director through my Dad, and I just asked my Dad to contact him and to schedule my next orphanage destination with his orphanage. I'm glad that I'm doing this with my friends.

My train of thoughts got interrupted, when Shane said something. "Bella?! Let's go."

"Oh, yeah. I'm coming."

The place is a bit secluded and cars can't fit the narrow road. We started walking.

Rain, Liam at Shane is goofing around and placing bets on who will reach the destination first. The guide said that the fastest time that someone got to their destination is thirty minutes. And they're trying to beat the record. While Ali shakes his head on what they're doing.

While Ezra is just quiet. "Back to his old self again"  I say to myself.

Liam is ahead of Shane and follows by Rain. While Ali is being a gentleman and assisting me. While Ezra is the last one in line.

Ali is constantly taking my hand, helping me trek. Especially on the stiff terrain.

The social worker suggested to stop and take a rest. "Sir, Ma'am, I suggest we stop first and rest. We're still a bit far. The hardest part is the way up. Especially that we are carrying a lot of supplies."

They all agreed to take a stop. We scattered and look for a spot to rest. I, on the other hand removed my cap and my pony tail.
Twenty minutes had passed, our guide stood up and signal to start our trek again.

Bella head towards where they're going, carefully stepping along the craggy rocks. When suddenly, one of the rock she step into knocks her off balance. She trip on a rocky out crop and stumble toward the ground, when someone steps in to catch her.

"Whoa." Says the guy who catch her

Bella reached out her arm going around his neck as he folds her safely into his arms.

When she opens her eyes and turns up to look at who catches her. Ezra's face comes into view. So close to her face. Her arms are still around Ezra's neck. She abruptly take her hands off him and put a space between them, she stands up straight.. "Thank you." She utters to Ezra in a whisper.

She looks ahead to see if their friends saw what just happened between her and Ezra. To her relief they're continuing their way. They're oblivious of what just happened. Which is a good thing for her, because She hates to be teased.

Her thoughts is interrupted by what Ezra said  "Trust me, the pleasure is all mine. It's not everyday that a gorgeous woman falls right into my arms." looking directly at her which makes Bella blush.
