Chapter 19: Surprise Birthday Party

"Bye Mom, say bye to Dad for me."

"Yes, I will. Bye, Honey!"She pressed the end button.

Bella is exhausted, but she's thankful that she's finally done with almost all her school works.

She's walking straight to the cafeteria, as she make her way inside, she spotted her friends busy on the corner table at the cafeteria. She decided to walk towards them. It's been over a week that she hadn't spend time with them. She misses their goofiness.

As I comek nearer, Liam suddenly looked up and a panicked cross his face when he saw me walking my way towards them and he elbowed Rain, who is seating in his right. Rain looked up, and tapped Shane and Ali in front of him and I saw him mouthed my name. They are all looking at me now. I feel awkward, I stop walking, I paused, and just stared at them confused, and I'm thinking if I'm still welcome to sit with them. After avoiding them for more than a week.

I saw Shane stand up, smiled widely and walk quickly towards me, then hug me tight. "We missed you, Bella!"Bella stand frozen for a moment, and in one second she feel at ease. 'Nothing's change on their treatment with me.'she feel relieve.

She saw a tiny frown creased form on the three guys forehead with what Shane did. Ali stands up to stops Shane from hugging me.

"That's enough, Shane."Ali said to shane to stop. Shane scratch his head in embarrassment.

"Come, Bella! Sit beside me."Shane pulled Bella to seat next to him.

As she seated, she greeted Liam and Rain."Hey you guys! What are you doing, you seem busy when I got in the cafeteria. Your all engrossed on what ever your doing."she asked them curiously

"Ahm, school work?!"Liam answered unsure.

"Really? Me too. I got very busy because I have tons. Ugh."Bella answered in a smile.

"Are you hungry, we'll order for you. Or if you want, we can share with my order."Rain said to change the topic. Because the truth is, they're busy on planning their surprise for her.

"Nah, I'll just order mine. I'm famished."she said smiling.

The waiter took her order and served her food in an instant. They're talking and laughing while eating. It's like old times. They didn't even brought up what had happened the last time. They all simply just pick up where they left off. Time passed by so quickly. They have forgotten all about the time. They're having so much fun talking, joking to one another.

When one of the cafeteria staff called their attention and advise them that they're about to close in 30 minutes. Ali responded with a nod and smile.

Bella raised her wrist to check on the time on her watch. She look shocked, disbelief registers her face.

"What is it, Bella?" Rain asked

"It's just... I just can't believe it's late. We really lost track of time when we're having fun."lingering her eyes on the cafeteria, seeing the other staff cleaning. No one else is left except them.

They all laugh on Bella's statement. Shane stands up.

"Let's go home guys! We gotta go."Shane said.
