Chapter 28

Val's POV

It felt like ages when we finally reached at the castle. The castle was all the same as we left it. I was so revealed to reach there without any further obstacle. Keil went to put the horses in their respective stables, while me and Ryan made our way towards the castle. As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by an ecstatic Raven. She came towards us and bowed in front of Ryan, who dismissed it with a slight nod and then disappeared somewhere.

She looked at me and I smiled but she had some other plans. All of a sudden I was pulled in a comforting bear hug. I reciprocated the gesture. "I missed you dear. It was boring here without you." She mumbled like a kid while I giggled. "I missed you too Raven. There was no one to prepare me a nice warm bath." I replied which made her chuckle a little bit. "So, come with me. I will prepare you a nice bath right away. You must be tired from the journey, it will help you in relaxing." She said while patting my hair in a motherly way. "Yes of course." I answered cheerfully and we went towards my room.

Just like Raven said the bath was nice and it did made my tiredness fly away. When I was done bathing I went towards my closet to pick up a comfy dress but to my dismay the closet was empty, like literally empty, not a single outfit was there, not even a hanky. I tried to remember what happened to my closet and that's when it hit me. Ryan had ordered Raven to shift my belongings to his room after the attack by the witch's creatures. Now how am I going to get my dress from his room. His room is not far from here but how can I roam around wrapped in just a towel.

All of a sudden the room's door flung open and I heard heavy footsteps. They were too heavy to be Raven. It means they were of some male, maybe Ryan. My eyes widened and I quickly hide behind the closet door. "No need to hide. I can easily sense your heartbeats, plus the sweet rose fragrance of your bath is still too prominent to go unnoticed." I heard the velvety voice say. So, my assumption was indeed right, the intruder is Ryan only. But it didn't change the fact that I am just in a towel. The steps grew louder indicating that Ryan was moving closer.

I panicked as I didn't wanted him to see me like this. Now his shadow was visible from outside the door and he was about to step inside when I yelled a "NO." It made him stop dead in his tracks. "What?" He said clearly confused. I took a deep breath and replied nervously "Please don't enter the closet. I will meet you outside, just please."         "But why?" He asked again. "Because I said so. Please!" I pleaded. "No. First tell me the reason." He denied my request. He is hell stubborn and I knew he won't go until he knows the real reason, so I decided to tell him. "BecauseIamjustinatowelandIdon'twantyoutoseeme." I answered in one breath and bit my lower lip in hope that he would go away. "Wooh wooh.... Calm down, vampires are fast but not that fast. Say it slowly again so that I can understand it." He said and I huffed in annoyance. "Because I am just in a towel and I don't want you to see me....  There happy, now go away." I answered.

There was no reply from him and I can practically fell him smirking which annoyed me more. After some time he broke the silence and said cockily "Gives me all the more reasons to step inside."  making my jaw drop at his bluntness and my heart beat faster. "Ryan! Don't you dare---" but before I can finish my sentence he was already inches away from me. My breaths hitched and my eyes were glued with his. He stepped closer and now I was trapped between him and the wall. I clutched the towel tightly to my chest without breaking the eye contact. He placed his hands on either side of my head and leaned closer till our nose were brushing each other. My breaths were uneven and my mind was blurry.

His eyes traveled to my lips and then again to my eyes while I was staring at his every moment without blinking. He leaned in further and that's when I shut my eyes, I felt his cold lips brushing against mine before they made full contact with each other. My heart was going insane by now. I felt his arms sliding around my waist and pulling me flush against his chest. My one hand was still clutching the towel while the other was placed against his hard chest. Our lips were moulding together perfectly and at that moment I completely forget about my surroundings. He moved his one hand behind my neck and angled it properly while deepening the kiss. This gesture made my brain lit on fire and the warmth spread throughout my body while a train of tingles shot down my spine. This kiss was more fiery and passionate then the other ones.

When he sensed that I was having difficulty in breathing he broke the kiss and started leaving feathery light kisses down my exposed neck which caused me to whimper slightly in delight. He moved his head to the other side of my neck and tilted it lightly while mimicking the same actions as before. Butterflies were flying in my stomach by now. He made his way up my neck to my jaw and then left a small peck on my lips. My eyes were shut throughout, savoring the blissful moment. He took my hand which was on his chest and placed something on it and before I can process anything he left. I opened my eyes slowly only to see a pretty beige colour dress which he had left behind. That means.............. He knew it from the beginning that I didn't had any clothes in my closet. This mere thought made me blush profusely.

I quickly changed into the dress and went out only to be welcomed by a smirking Keil.........
