Millie's' POV
*three weeks later*
"What?" Sadie asks, looking shocked.
"What's wrong with that?" I ask defensively.
"You can't fall for Finn, he's a player." Sadie says arching her eyebrow.
"Nobody ever said I was falling for him!" I say. "He's just in my math class,
and art and theatre."
"Oh my god, you have THEATRE with Finn WOLFHARD?" Sadie asks frantically, a loud whisper.
"Yeah, what's your point?" I push.
"I didn't think of him as an art and theatre, kind of a guy," Sadie responds.
"Well apparently he is?" I say sarcastically.
"Well, either way, he's bad news."
"I'll believe it when I see it, Sadie."
"Okay Mills, don't say I didn't warn you."

*later in theatre class*
"Let's start class off with some improvisation!" Mr. Anderson exclaims excitedly.
"Get into groups of two!" He shouts.
Being new and all, I stand there like a deer in headlights, with no partner. I'm about to do the walk-of-shame, when Finn saves me.
"Millie! There you are, over here!" Finn shouts, motioning Millie over.
"Hey Finn," I say casually.
"Wonder what our improvisation will be about today?" He asks in a sarcastic enthusiastic tone.
Mr. Anderson speaks, "I've recently become obSESSED with the new Netflix show, Odd Objects." hehe see what I did there? No? Okay...
"So," he continues," I'll be assigning each pairing a scene to reenact in front of the class."
Right as he said "in front of the class" I felt myself begin to panic, and it's an improv, too! Oh god. I start pacing as Mr. Anderson begins to hand out slips of paper from his orange top hat.
"Hey," Finn touches my shoulder, "you'll do great."
"You think so?" I ask nervously.
"Absolutely," he beams. This comforts me a bit, I manage to get my breathing under control.
Mr. Anderson walks to up us, hands a piece of paper out of his hat, and tells us to open it.
As Finn unfolds the paper, Mr. Anderson's eyes widen with joy.
"I was hoping you two would get this one!" He exclaims.
Finn and I look at each other, confused. He gives us a bit of information about our characters, what's happening in the scene, and their relationship to each other.
"Okay," Finn says.
"We'll do our best," I ensure our teacher.
