The next few months flew by in a blur. Steam's wound healed and we got to take him home the next day. We all stayed at Midnight's house and waited for Tundra to make his move.
He never did.
Right now Steam and I were cuddled up on the huge couch in front of the crackling fire. It was mid december, and even in California it gets cold.
Angel walked into the room, and I lifted my head from Steam's chest to see who it was.
"Hey lovebirds." She teased, and Stiles came walking in behind her.
"Hey great mating bears." Steam said, and I laughed, setting my head back on his chest. Yeah, if you couldn't guess, since Angel's Alpha, I guess you could say that she's been getting to know her mate better.
Angel lay down on the floor, and sprawled out like a star fish.
"I'm bored." she complained, and I felt Steam wrap his arms around me in a warm embrace. He kissed my hair and I blushed.
"You two are so cute." Midnight said as she came strolling into the room, holding a tray of cheese and crackers.
Today she was wearing a navy blue off the shoulder sweater, black leggings and light brown booties.
Her long black hair was tied into a ponytail, swinging back an forth as she walked.
I was wearing a pink Hollister hoodie, and had on a pair of fluffy purple pajama pants, with bunny slippers.
My hair was down in bouncy curls that Steam loved so much.
I yawned as the sun started to set, and we all grabbed at the snacks Midnight brought out.
Once we finished our 'dinner', Stiles and Angel went back to their room, and Midnight went back to hers.
Then I realized my heat was coming up soon.
Oh shit.
I shifted uncomfortably at the thought, and Steam seemed to notice.
"What's wrong my little Red?" he asked, and I forced a smile.
"Nothing. Just getting comfy." I replied, and lay my head on his chest, listening to his heart beat. It quickened when I held his hand.
"I think next week is my heat." I admitted, and he smiled.
"You're gonna be fine. Try not to worry about it."
I sighed and closed my eyes.
"Christmas is next week too." I said.
"I have something special planed for us." Steam stated, and I looked up at him.
"Aww, you didn't have to do that." I said, and snuggled deeper into his side.
"Oh, you're gonna love it." he whispered, and with that, I fell asleep to his rapid love stricken heart beat.

SUP GUISE! This chappie took super duper long to write, because I got friggin writers block. So I took it upon myself to actually do some research on a female wolf's heat.
