Chapter 13- Hospital Shenanagins

~Midnight~

Red and Steam were fast asleep cuddled on the hospital bed when I recieved a text from Angel.

Meet at your house in 10. Important biz to discuss with the Artic Blast pack, I want u there

I quickly wrote a note on the hospital whiteboard in Steam's room that told him if something happened to call me, then left my phone number.

I the got a taxi, and rode to my own house.

When I got there, Angel and Stiles were waiting out front.

I unlocked the door, and we sat around my large kitchen table, talking about our plan to sneak into Artic Blast's base.

Angel decided that it was too early to sneak in now, so we would wait until something else happened or felt like it was about to happen.

So I gave Angel the spare keys to the house, and went back to the hospital.

Red and Steam were in the same position they were in when I left, and the blanket was tugged up around their shoulders. I smile at them.

It made me so happy to see Red with someone that cared so much for her. I sat with Steam the night after the Initiation, and we talked about school amongst other things.

"Shit!" I muttered to myself, and called the school to let them know why we weren't there the last week and a half.

I hung up, and slumped down in the chair that was next to the bed.

I scooted it over to the window, and gazed out at the now falling rain.

Red stirred in her sleep, and woke up. She rubbed her eyes, and yawned.

"Hey Midnight." she said groggily, and I waved.

"Mornin' sleepy head." I replied with a chuckle.

She rolled off the bed and stretched.

"So are we crashing at your place now?" she asked, and I nodded.

"Once Steam gets checked out of here." she said, and sat next to the still sleeping Steam. She played with his hair, and I drifted off to sleep with the sound of the rain.

-Time Skip 3 Hours-

I woke up to the sound of laughter, and realized that I was really warm.

A blanket had been draped over me, and a pillow propped behind my head.

I opened one eye to see Red and Steam watching Family Feud on the little monitor that was hanging from the wall.

I yawned, and stretched.

"Welcome back to earth Midnight!" Red exclaimed, and they both laughed.

"Oh haha." I said, and leaned against the wall, watching the rain fall outside.

"So Steam, when they kicking you out?" I asked, and he shrugged.

"Within the next hour or so I guess." he said, and lifted his shirt to show the scar of the scratch.

Red starred at his abs, and I giggled when he put his shirt down and she pouted.

"Aw, c'mon! I was enjoying the view!" she said, and Steam stuck his tongue out at her.

"Oh get a room!" Angel exclaimed as she walked through the door, dragging Stiles along with her.

"We have news!" Stiles said, and we all stopped what we were doing to listen to him.

"First of all, we will in fact be staying at Midnight's house from now on. Next, my parents just informed me that they will be coming home in a few months." he said excitedly, and Angel jumped up and down.

"What will your parents think of me?" She asked, and Stile winked at her.

"Pretty sure they'll love you, just like I do." he said, and kissed her.

"Ewww!" Red and I shrieked, and Angel pulled away.

"What? It's no different than you and Steam sucking face 30 seconds after you meet!" she teased Red, and we all laughed.

The only thing left for me to do was find my own mate, because if it's one thing I've learned from these girls, it's that only true love matters; no matter what the price.
