~Midnight~
That morning, I wake up by myself. There's a note next to my bed, and it's from Hunter. Basically all it said was that he was sorry and that he wishes I would give him another chance.
Fuck that. He tried to kill one of my best friends. No way he's ever getting a second chance!
My eye's filled with tears, and I wipe them away.
Forget and forgive, yeah right.
I sniffle, and walk out into the kitchen. Angel and Red are sitting at the kitchen table, Stiles, Steam and Hunter no where to be seen.
"Hey guys, how's it going..." I say, and make myself some coffee.
"Nothing much, how about yourself? How ya holding up?" Red says as she takes a sip of her own coffee.
"Better than I should. That son of a bitch tried to kill you, that doesn't exactly sit well with me." I reply, and Angel giggles.
I glare at her, and she stops.
"Sorry, just uh... Nevermind." she says, and looks down.
Red get's up and walks down the hallway, as small cries can be heard.
"I think somepeople want you!" Angel says, and I smiled faintly.
"Yeah yeah..." Red says, and walk's into Kyle and Mandi's room.
"I'm gonna go get dressed..." I say quietly, and Angel nods as I hurry off to my bedroom. I can't help but notice that neither Steam nor Stiles is in their bedroom...
As I pass Kyle and Mandi's room, I stop dead in my tracks as I hear soft crying. I peer in the slightly open door, and Red is standing over by the window with Mandi crying in her arms.
"I know, I know. You miss daddy don't you? I do too." she says softly, and rocks Mandi back and forth as she slowly stops crying.
I raise an eyebrow.
What in the world? Is today loose-your-mate-becasue-one-of-his-friends-tried-to-kill-your-best-friend day?
I shrug and continue walking back to my room. But i'm not the only one in my bedroom when I open the door.
Hunter is standing next to the bed with his arms crossed and his expression sad.
"Hunter, what are you doing here. You shouldn't be here. Not after what happened." I say, and close the door quietly.
He looks up at me, his eyes red and puffy. A single tear rolls down his face.
I sigh and sit down, and he sits next to me.
'I never meant... To do what I did." he said, and I look down.
"How can I be sure that you're safe to be around. How can I be sure that you won't hurt Angel, or Kyle or Mandi?" I ask, and Hunter looks at me.
"You can't. There's no way to change what happened, and I'm sorry."
"Sorry won't cut it! Red almost DIED because of you." I shout, and theres a knock at the door.
"Midnight? Can I come in?" Angel's voice calls, and I wipe away tears that I hadn't realized fallen.
'Get out. We'll talk later." I growl at Hunter, and he walks to the open window.
"Please, just one more chance." he says, and jumps out of the window. (ONE STORY HUGE HOUSE. NOT 2)
I curl into a ball, and Angel opens the door slowly.
"Midnight?" She says softly, and sits next to me on the bed.
"Take your time, you're strong. Both Red and I have seen that. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for you." she says, and hugs me.
"Thanks Angel..." I whisper, and take deep breaths as Hunter's words echo inside my head.
Please, just one more chance. There's no way to change what happened, and I'm sorry..."
More tears start to flow as I squeeze my eyes shut.
"I'm sorry... One more chance..."
