~Mafumafu's POV~

The air in my room was heavy, almost suffocating me, not like room in my dreams. It was also winter outside, snow still laying on the roofs and the streets. So different from what I dreamed - so empty and so, so unbelievable lonely.

I stood up, trying to forget about everything, but I couldn't get the warm and colorful images out of my head. They had been just so much more beautiful than reality ever will be and so I wished to dream on... I wished so much for it, that I tried to lay down again and sleep, but I couldn't drift of to sleep again.

It was useless and so I made my way into the kitchen, trying to at least make the hungry feeling in my stomach vanish.

After I ate I already felt better, but it was still not near the feeling of being alright. I wanted to distract myself and decided to sit down on my piano and try to put my feelings into a song.

I began to play random melodies, but they just didn't want to connect together and so I sight, slowly loosing hope.

But I realized something as I sat there; my head was just too distracted with thinking about the whole dream and my situation with Soraru, that I couldn't completely concentrate on finding a good melody at all. I tried to organize my thoughts and clear my head to the extent, that I was able to freely play the piano after a while.

Now I was undeed able to create a new melody and the lyrics came to me right after, only a title for the new track wasn't coming to my mind right away.

I kept repeating the song, until I figured that 'Yume Hanabi' would be a good name for this piece of art.

I wrote down everything and stood up, before making my way out of the house. I didn't know what I wanted to do or where I actually wanted to go, so I drifted around aimlessly and ended up walking down the street.

The air was still cold and little snowflakes kept falling down, the trees didn't have any leaves left and you could see your own breath escaping your mouth in small clouds.

I kept covering my face with my muffler, but my nose and cheeks still got a light pink shade because of the freezing temperatures. My hands also became numb and I repeatedly tried to warm them up by rubbing them against each other.

I then reached a park, not far away from the café I and Soraru met the first time at. I looked around, seeing kids play in the snow and throwing snowballs at each other, laughing while doing so.

I smiled jealousy at them. I just wanted to have a simple live like them again, but I couldn't turn back time and had to just look forward at this moment.

I observed another girl building a small snowman and decided to do the same, although I was sure it wouldn't warm me uo much, but after I had finished I could still drink some hot chocolate.

So I began to put one white ball over the other, getting smaller as they got higher. When I finally got the last one on top of the snowman, I proudly looked at the three stacked, almost completely round objects.

'There's still something missing' I thought and fished out two blue buttons out of my jacket's pocket, before putting them on the head of the snowman. I then looked around and tried to find something that would look good as hair. Eventually I found a black plastic bag and small stones, that I used as a mouth.

To make the whole thing perfect, I also gave my snowman sticks as arms and other stones that should be the knobs of the jacket the cold man was wearing.

I took a picture of it and also made a selfie with the snowman - of course I asked him before - and then I left the park to go the café and drink the hot chocolate, that I deserved.
