"The Vatican came by this morning..." Shura yawned as she leaned back on her chair at the training room. "They said if you misused the power of Ryoku, your divine summoning, he will be taken away from you."
"Aren't they supposed to like me, or at least not be scared of me?" I grumbled. "I'm God's daughter, after all."
"I guess there's a bit of jealousy involved here, since you have a purer connection to God." Shura simply shrugged as she pointed towards the end of the room.
"He's inside. They told me not to give him to you yet, but I'm not baby sitting anyone. Take him if you want."
"Alright! Thanks." I smiled as I got up and walked over to the door on the far corner. Without hesitation whatsoever I yanked the door open, looking for my huge dragon but my eyes only met with an empty room.
Or so I thought, before I was tackled to the ground by Ryoku's small form.
A yelp made its way up my throat as I tried to push the overly happy animal off me. No matter how much I tried the task proved impossible and I just let my hands fall to my sides attempting to hold back my giggles as Ryoku jumped around me, licking my face.
"B-Boy! Stop it!" I laughed as I tried to cover my face with my hands.
"He missed you..." I heard a voice and I immediately turned my head to meet with a pair of blue eyes.
"Rin, hey." I greeted, straightening up in a sitting position. "Im glad to see you're up and running."
The boy pushed himself away from the door frame and took a few steps toward me, immediately freezing as Ryoku's movements stopped and a deep growl left his throat.
A nervous chuckle left Rin's lips as he scratched the back of his head. "Still don't like me, I see..."
I watched intently as both males had a stare off, Ryoku's gaze strong and demanding as Rin's looked deep in thought. Suddenly his eyes widened in horror as he stumbled back from the dragon.
"I do not! What the hell?!"
This time it was my turn to widen my eyes.
"You can hear Ryoku?"
"I- uh... yeah." Rin shrugged.
"Why can't I hear him then? He's my devine summoning!"
Rin turned to the dragon before rolling his eyes and glaring at him.
"He's blocking his voice from you so you can't hear all the mean things he's saying to me." He grumbled.
"What? Is that true?" This time my question was directed at Ryoku who simply turned his head away from me in an annoyed manor.
"He's mad at you... For being my friend?!" Rin gaped at my dragon. "But I'm a good guy! ...Well, yeah so What if I'm his son?... But I'm not like him!"
"I'd like to be part of the conversation, please." I sweatdropped at the two bickering animals in front of me.
Yes, I said it.
"My lady." Ryoku's voice finally boomed through my ears. "Why did you stay with the son of a traitor? It is dangerous to be around his kind."
"Please, Rin's as dangerous as a lady bug."
"Lady bugs can be dangerous!" The boy interjected and I shook my head in defeat.
"See what I mean?"
"Dangerous or not, you must'nt be around his kind. I cannot permit this."
