The office had been completely empty. Mephisto Pheles calmly lounged against his spinning office chair, humming a sweet symphony that could only be accounted to the famous composer Vivaldi as his half lidded eyes were set against the closest window to him.

The day was coming to an end now. Explosions of breathtakingly beautiful colors decorated the evening sky, dazzling the purple haired man. Not even the strongest drug-induced dreams could compare to the sight, and he had been able to enjoy it for centuries.

A sudden ripple in his dream-like state stirred him to consciousness however, and he found the beautiful scenery blocked by a familiar figure standing menacingly close to his face.

"Where is she?"

It took a few seconds to register, and the thought of it sent a wave of laughter out of Mephisto's throat.

"Brother." He spoke, pausing slightly to take in his disheveled appearance before continuing to hum Vivaldi over the green haired demon's claims.

"She left this morning and hasn't come back. I traced every single one of her trash friends and she's nowhere in sight. She didn't even tell me where she was going." Amaimon growled, baring his canines as he leaned over the spinning chair and made sure Mephisto's green eyes were on his.

"I trust nobody saw you?" Mephisto raised an eyebrow.

"That doesn't matter. Where is she?" Amaimon seethed.

"As a matter of fact, it does. If the Vatican finds out you are alive and I'm providing you protection they'll have both our heads." The purple haired man sighed defeatedly as if he were repeating instructions to a child for the tenth time.

"As for Emi, she left my office a couple of hours ago with Ryoku."

Amaimon's features twisted in desperation as he rubbed a hand across his face.

"Ryoku came to Emi's dorm room, looking for her."

Vivaldi suddenly fell silent.

Mephisto raised a questioning eyebrow, slowly straightening up in his chair before speaking.

"That's not good."

"You don't say?" Amaimon huffed, now pacing around the room in an attempt to figure out where the girl had dissapeared to.

"Emi is missing, and not even her divine summoning knows where she is..." Mephisto hummed out loud before rolling himself behind his desk.

"The barrier around the school isn't broken, so no unwanted visitor has come through." The purple haired demon king mumbled to himself as he pushed himself toward his desk.

"If someone took her, it had to be one who has access to the school." Mephisto murmured, picking up the desk phone before punching in some quick numbers.

"A message for Shura and Yukio: Drop everything you're doing and meet me in my office right now."

With a sigh he set the phone back on it's stand, not even waiting to hear a reply before turning to his green haired brother.

"You should leave."

"Like hell I will." Amaimon growled, determined to find the girl in any way possible.

"Amaimon." Mephisto looked at him, not like a director looking at a student like he usually did, but like a brother wanting what's best for his sibling.

"Nobody can know you're still alive. I will tell you everything that was said here, but right now I need you to leave my office before the others come."

Amaimon was on the brink of raging once again, but one look at Mephisto's gaze told him the demon king of time wasn't offering space to argue.

"If something happens to her..." Amaimon trailed, his jaw clenching as his hands turned into fists at his sides.

He didn't need to finish the sentence. Mephisto offered him a weak smile before speaking.

"It won't happen."

And with that Amaimon stormed out of the office with the small spark of reassurance he had just been offered.
