"Alright class, you're gathered here for a very important reason so I need your full attention." Yukio's voice rose above the chatter of the exorcist class. A dozen pairs of eyes confusedly shifted their attention toward him, the muttering dying down until there was nothing else heard but the wind knocking against the windows.

"You guys are studying to become exorcists, by now you know your lives are in danger every step of the way." He began, adjusting his glasses as he swallowed the knot forming against his throat.

"Yesterday afternoon our student Emi Haruno disappeared.-"

"She what?!" Rin didn't even realize he stood up until he heard the loud crash of his desk falling to the floor. Yukio closed his eyes, already expecting a strong reaction from his brother.

The rest of the class errupted in preocupied questions right after Rin. The room was once again filled with desperate, loud voices trying to make sense of the situation, and Yukio could do nothing because even he did not know what to think.

"Class, settle down!" He called, and repeated it feverishly until the group settled back into their chairs, although her eyes still looked at him intently.

"Yukio, why are we told now and not earlier?" Rin growled. "We could've looked for her yesterday!"

"We'll be creating a search party to aid the Vatican, who was called to action immediately after the report." He replied.

"We need clear heads in order to contuct a thorough search. Whoever took her hasn't gone past the barrier. We also don't know the culprit's intentions, so you'll be organized into groups and should not leave each other's sides." Yukio finished.

"Have they found anything at all?" This time it was Shiemi's soft voice who spoke, a slight shake in her tone as she delivered her words.

"Not yet. Anything you find can be used as evidence. Remember to notify us if you see anything out of the ordinary."

"When was she last seen?" Bon spoke up.

"The last anyone knew from her, she had just left the principal's office. She planned to train with her dragon but Ryoku came back looking for her."

"This is so confusing." Shima groaned.

"I'll set you into your groups now. Please, try to work diligently. This is not only a student, but your friend as well. It would be horrible for anything bad to happen to her." Yukio sighed.

Everyone's gaze traveled amongst themselves, noticing the evident gap that had been left by Emi in their group. Impatience started bubbling up, mixed with a sense of desperateness that itched through their veins. Yukio took a deep breath.

How was he going to control a class of nervous students, when he himself was a wreck?
