Everyone had packed some snacks and toys for the kids as we went to the park. We were supposed to go by foot, kids with their parents but somehow Chris and I ended up with all the kids by our sides. When we arrived the kids soon left our sides to play on the playground while Chris and I stayed behind with the others. We all placed blankets on the ground as we sat down on them. I tried to take a few pictures of the kids and the others, a lot of Chris too of course, key word is tried. Chris took my phone as soon as he noticed I was taking pictures of him, I tried to get it back but he ran away from me, I quickly ran after him, trying to get it back. I chased him for at least 10 minutes, until the kids thought we were playing tag. They wanted to join us.
"Aunt Tilly! Can we play along?" Ethan (the oldest) asked me, I smiled at the name they gave me before I answered them.
"Sure, try to catch Uncle Chris with me?" I asked them, they immediately ran after Chris while I chased him together with the kids. After another 10 minutes of chasing Chris I gave up as I walked back to the blankets to drink some water.
"Did Ethan just call you aunt?" Shanna asked me as I sat down, I nodded my head.
"I don't know where that came from to be honest, I was surprised," I told her honestly. Chris ran up to the blankets as he tried to sit down with the kids still chasing him. They all whined as they noticed Chris was sitting down and not running anymore.
"No, No, uncle Chris is tired, maybe in a while I'll come back to you," he told the kids, the little kids all drank something.
"Ethan, did you just call Tilly aunt?" Shanna asked her son. The little kid nodded his head, I noticed Chris looking proudly over at me.
"Yeah, she is my aunt, isn't she? I mean, she makes uncle Chris happy, that's what good girlfriends do right momma?" he asked his mother, Shanna smiled at her son as she told him to go play again. Shanna looked over at me, a bit proud too.
"You know, you're the first of Chris' girlfriends who he calls aunt," she told me, I was shocked at her statement.
"No, that can't be, maybe he called her aunt as you weren't there?" I asked Shanna, Chris shook his head.
"He always refused to call my girlfriends aunt, I don't know why but he never did," Chris admitted, looking down and shaking his head.
"Wow," I breathed, before I took another sip of my water, Chris laughed as me before he pecked my cheek lightly.
"Maybe he knows when I'm really happy, without me even knowing," he told me, I smiled to him.
"Okay you love birds, we know you've just been together and all but don't be all clingy now," Scott laughed before he sat down in between us, he handed me and Chris a beer.
"Water is for the fish," he told us, we both laughed at his statement before rejoining the conversation of the family.
We all returned home in the late afternoon after our picnic. Lisa and Carly started dinner while the men were watching some kind of game on the TV and Shanna was upstairs, putting the kids in the tub. I proposed to help with dinner since I didn't really liked games that much.
"Can I help you?" I asked as Lisa and Carly were busy.
"No, no sweetheart, take some time with Chris, I know you've barely had any time alone with him these past days," Lisa told me, I smiled to her.
"No really, it's no problem Lisa, I don't mind," I told her, but she shushed me.
"Take some time with Chris, he'll enjoy it too," Lisa told me as she particularly pushed me out of the kitchen and shutting the door. I heard Chris laugh in the door of the living room to the dining-room, where I currently was.
"She pulled the 'get some time along with him' card?" Chris smiled, I nodded, pouting.
"I really wanted to help," I told him, he smiled to me.
"Don't worry, she does so with everyone, she doesn't really like the kitchen too crowded when she cooks," Chris explained to me, reassuring me it wasn't my fault. Chris took my hand as he led me upstairs, to his room.
"But she was right, we haven't had much time alone since you've got here," Chris mumbled to me as he embraced me and kissed my hair softly. I placed my arms around his waist as he laid his chin on top of my head.
