We had immediately gone home after the premiere, not wanting to stay any longer then we had to. Chris changed and went to bed right when we came home, although it wasn't even past 11 pm. Me being my worried self began to worry, normally he wouldn't go to bed without saying so, but I let him be, thinking it would be better if I left him alone some time. Since I was quite tired myself I changed and went to bed too.
The next morning I woke up without Chris by my side, I decided to look for him in the kitchen but he was nowhere to be found. I texted his phone but noticed he had forgotten it since it was still on the dining table.
I made myself breakfast and showered before I looked at the clock again, only to see it was already eleven am. Chris hadn't come home yet and Dodger still needed to be taken out. I took Dodger's leach and went out for a walk, not a long one since I wanted to be home when Chris came back. Once outside I noticed his car was still parked in front of the building so he couldn't be away for too long.
After my walk with Dodger I took a book and started reading, until I heard the door open. Chris stepped inside, sweating all over his sports outfit.
"Hey," he spoke to me, I smiled at him.
"Hey, you got me worried," I told him, he just huffed. He hadn't spoken to me yesterday after the premiere and it looked like he wouldn't speak to me today.
"Go get a shower, I'll make something to eat," I told him, he smiled and went to the bathroom. I quickly made some eggs and bacon for him since I knew he hadn't eaten breakfast yet. Once he had sat down and started eating I spoke up.
"What's wrong Chris?" I asked him immediately, not wanting to beat around the bush.
"Nothing, I'm fine," he told me before he took another bite. I gave him a look that told him not to mess with me.
"Have you read the news yet?" he asked me, I shook my head.
"You know I don't read it anymore," I told him, he gave me his phone. The screen showed an article, the title was 'Chris Evans has anxiety attack on premiere', I looked at him.
"This is not too bad," I told him, he looked at me.
"The title? No that's not too bad, the article actually is," Chris told me, I looked closer and read the article while he ate his breakfast. The article actually said that I was the reason behind the attack and that it was actually my fault.
"So, this is why you are upset?" I asked him, he looked at me like I had grown a second head.
"They literally tell the readers that you are the reason behind my attack, that it was all your fault and you are not upset?" Chris told me as he raised his voice slightly.
"Was I the reason behind your attack?" I asked him seriously.
"No! Absolutely not! You know I've always had difficulty with red carpets!" Chris told me, his voice still raised.
"Then why are you upset?" I asked him calmly. Chris huffed in anger, because I didn't understand.
"They accused you of things you didn't do!" Chris almost yelled at me.
"They can do that, you and I both know it's not true," I started explaining.
"Everyone who knows you knows that it's not true, your fans know it's not true because they know you have anxiety, so why would I be upset? As long as we know the truth it doesn't matter. The press will always accuse me of something, and if the press doesn't do it someone else will do it, don't worry about it," I told him.
"But you know I don't want you to be accused of anything you didn't do, I don't like you getting hate of any kind," Chris told me as he walked to my side of the table.
"I know, but you also know that it will be impossible not to get hate in this industry," I told him, he embraced me.
"Thank you again for yesterday," Chris told me, I smiled and kissed his lips softly.
"Anytime baby," I told him. Chris was about to kiss me again as his phone started to ring suddenly. Chris quickly got his phone, knowing it was someone important.
I decided to give him his privacy as I started doing the dishes. Chris soon came back and helped me by drying the dishes.
"That was Jimmy, he asked me if I wanted to come by this week for the show," Chris told me, I nodded.
"And what did you say?" I asked him as I washed the last plate.
"I told him I was coming if I could say some things about you too," Chris told me, quietly telling me he wanted to tell the fans some things about what had happened yesterday.
                              "Chris..." I started.
"I know, but I wanted to do this for myself, I want to tell them," Chris told me as he dried the last plate and placed the towel away.
"If you really want to do so," I told him.
"Honey, I just want the world to see you like I see you," Chris assured me, I smiled at him.
"You're too good for this world," I told him.
