The day after we visited my parents we decided to spend the day in Antwerp, the city where I went to college.

Everything went perfect at home, after some questions, asked by my dad, I noticed they got along quite well. My dad and I had to translate some sentences for my mum but at the end of the evening she tried to say some sentences herself.

Chris told me, when we were driving back to our apartment, that he had liked my parents. He thought they were protective and loving, he could see they cared for me.

Since I knew my way around Antwerp, we decided I would show him around.
I wasn't really a tourist and I knew most of the touristic attractions in Antwerp kind of sucked so I decided I'd show him the most beautiful and known places by a student. We visited a few churches and some old buildings and when it was time to eat we walked to a very known little restaurant, which served only pasta.

The restaurant was known by students because you could eat healthy, yet good, for a low price. The asian lady was friendly and served us our pastas.

"How'd you know all these places, you'd only study here right?" Chris asked me before he took a bite of his meal.

"I'd skip a lot of classes with my friends. We'd explore the city together," I told him in all honesty, he smiled at my answer.

"You never finished your course, did you?" Chris asked me, right before he burned his mouth. I giggled at the funny sight in front of me.

"I didn't, Marvel called me before I could start my third and last year, so I had to quit," I explained to the man in front of me, who was sitting there with his tongue outside his mouth, trying to cool his mouth.

"Why don't you continue?" Chris asked me as he took a sip of his drink.

"I honestly don't know, I don't want to start all over and move back here just to finish my course, but I also don't want to have a shitty job in a few years just because I don't have a degree," I explain to him, Chris nodded his head, taking another bite.

"What if you studied in New York? I mean, it should be possible to get your degree, your english is good enough to follow classes," Chris assured me as I finished my meal.

"Maybe, we'll see," I smiled, "But first we need to enjoy our little vacation," I told him.

We shopped and visited a few little cafés which I liked before we returned to our apartment and enjoyed each others company.

The week went by quickly, we visited my family a few times, Chris even asked to visit my grandma, even though it was rather difficult for him to communicate with her, her english being worse than my mom's. I was the translator the whole afternoon but Chris and my family enjoyed it. They were very happy that they could finally meet each other, and my family was happy that I finally found a boyfriend who was loving and sweet.

At the end of the week my mum asked me when the grandchildren would come, in dutch of course, but apparently my face was so priceless that Chris already knew what was going on, he answered to her: "Not anytime soon, she has to get her degree first before I want to start with kids," knowing he and my mum both thought I should get my degree, my mum started liking him even more.

Chris and I both said our goodbyes before we went to the airport, by train. After several hours of waiting and flying, we arrived in New York again, happy we were finally home again, even after such a wonderful vacation.
