Ethan and Gray's Little Sister

Feeling left out

Cameron socialized with the twins in the living room, while I sat there and listened. Nothing happened in my life that was nearly as exciting as what went on in Cameron's and the twins lives. As I sat there and listened, I happen to notice Grayson glance over at me. He said,
"Are you alright?"
I nodded, but I knew he could tell that I was feeling bad in some way. I got my phone out of my pocket and started scrolling through Instagram. As I was, Cameron said,
"What about you Ashlynn? What have you been doing recently?"
My brothers and sister stared at me. I said,
"Nothing near as exciting as you guys."
Ethan said,
"C'mon squirt, just tell us."
I said,
"Recently huh? Well I've went to school, came home, and I went to the public pool with some friends."
Grayson said,
"Hey good news guys, she's not as socially challenged as we thought!"
Ethan said,
"Yeah guess you're not a hermit after all."
I said,
"Haha very funny. Both of you shut up."
They laughed. I rolled my eyes, and thought to myself,
They are always annoying me, so why don't I annoy them. I mean, after all it is one of the things I'm good at.

I got up, went behind them and flicked them in the ears. Ethan said,
"Hey!"
Grayson said,
"Ashlynn!"
I smirked and walked away, meanwhile Cameron laughed. They rolled their eyes. Mission accomplished. Didn't take much to annoy them. I decided that I'd go up to my room and let the boys visit with Cameron, after all I had nothing to talk about really, so I was kind of doing everyone a favor by going up to my room. I laid down on the bed and read Supernatural fan fiction. I was getting really into it, when all of a sudden, my door burst open, only to reveal Ethan and Grayson. They came and punched me in the arm. Grayson said,
" That's for flicking us!"
I said,
" I didn't even flick you that hard!"
Ethan shrugged his shoulders and smirked. I groaned. This visit with Cameron was turning into a challenge of who could be more annoying so far and unfortunately for Cameron the twins were dragging her into it. Though, she's our older sister we can't just not annoy her! Remember how I said that Grayson could tell I was feeling bad earlier? Well I was, because...I understand that we all haven't seen each other in a while, and don't get me wrong I love seeing my siblings, especially all at the same time, but since Cameron came home, and the twins came home at the same time, it seemed like I was just getting left out because I didn't have anything to talk about and the twins didn't even try to make conversation with me.
We were sitting at the kitchen table when my mom nudged my arm. I looked up at her and said,
"Yes mom?"
My mom said,
"Are you feeling ok? You've been awfully quiet."
Ethan said,
"Yeah, she hasn't been near as annoying as she normally is today."
I said,
"Yeah I'm fine, just nothing exciting happens in my life and whenever Cameron comes home from college, her , Ethan, and Grayson alway talk about what cool stuff they did and have done for the past few months. All I did was go to a public swimming pool and try not be afraid of the high dive."
Grayson laughed and said,
"You're still afraid of that thing?"
I said,
"Yeah well, carrying me kicking and screaming up to the top then pushing me off doesn't exactly cure my fear!"
My mom said,
"Ok, ok, that's enough. Look, honey, your young and you haven't had a chance to experience the things that your brothers and sister have, but you will be able to when you get older. Don't get upset about it, it's ok."
I nodded and said,
"And FYI Ethan, that joke about me being annoying was so funny I forgot to laugh!"
He squinted his eyes and nodded his head and said,
"Cute."
I rolled my eyes then went upstairs to take a shower. I was tired so I went to bed early that night. The next day was Sunday, which meant Ethan and Grayson would be filming a video for their channel. Yay, can't wait to see what they film..eh not.
