Ethan and Gray's Little Sister

Thanksgiving

The next morning, I woke up to the sound of leaf blowers outside. I opened my eyes and looked at my phone to see what time it was. 6:00 a.m. Why couldn't people blow leaves at a reasonable hour....like 3 in the afternoon? I got out of bed and headed over to my side of the closet I shared with Gray to get dressed. I wasn't going to be able to get back to sleep with Farmer Joe outside blowing the leaves. That's when it hit me...this is LA, they don't have a need for leaf blowers in the city. I ran over to the window to see Grayson outside blowing the leaf blower at Ethan's face and filming it. Ok 1. I didn't even notice Grayson wasn't in his bed,  2. What are they doing up so early? and 3. Where the heck did they get a leaf blower??? I shook my head and sighed. That's when it occurred to me...They're outside, I'm inside...I can lock them out. I opened the window and yelled,

    "Hey Dumb and Dumber!"

They said,

    "Hey!!"

I said,

    "You know that looks like a lot of fun! To bad you won't be able to bring it back inside the apartment!"

They looked at each other then ran towards the elevators. They were fast, but they weren't THAT fast. I ran to the apartment door and locked it. As soon as I did, there was a bang on the door.  Ethan yelled,

    "Ash! Open the door!!"

I said,

    "You know its funny I would've brought a key with me if I left the apartment."

Grayson said,

    "Ashlynn Dolan Open the freaking door!!"

I said,

    "No!"

Grayson said,

    "We have to leave for Jersey in an hour!!!! OPEN THE DANG DOOR!!
I got in a running stance. That way as soon as I opened the door I could bolt to the bedroom and lock that door and get dressed. I turned the lock then ran. I ran into the bedroom and locked the door. Ethan said,

    "Ashlynn!!! Hurry up we leave in like literally 1 hour!"

I got my pants on then said,

    "1 hour??!?! Chill out!"

I got a shirt on and unlocked the door. Ethan was waiting there and smirked at me. I said,
"Don't even think about it."
He wrestled me to the ground and pinned me down. I said,
"Ethan!! GET OFF!"
Ethan laughed. He punched me in the side, and said,
"That's for locking us out!"
He got off of me and I stood up and squinted at him. I said,
"Yeah thanks."
I rolled my eyes and scoffed. Ethan walked off shaking his head, silently laughing to himself. I sighed and got my shoes on. When I got done, Grayson was in the shower, and Ethan was dressed and ready to go. I said,
"That was quick."
Ethan said,
"How slow do you think I am?"
I said,
"Judging by how you left an hour early to make a meeting and were still late, 20 minutes at that, I'd say very so this is unusual."
Ethan said,
"Haha, You're so funny."
I laughed and said,
"Why thank you I always knew I was!"
Ethan rolled his eyes and said,
"Yeah, funny lookin!"
I said,
"Haha."
He smiled a little bit and shook his head. 20 minutes later, Grayson was showered and ready to go. We made our way to the airport and just barely made our flight. Grayson got the time wrong. He said our flight was at 11:15 when it was at 11:00. Luckily I had a gut feeling we should get up and do a check on the time it was supposed to leave or we'd still be sitting in the airport. We got to Jersey what felt like 19 hours later when really, it was literally like 5. I fell asleep on the flight, and woke up to a tiny pain on my shoulder. I turned my head to my right to see Grayson. He said,
"We're here."
I stretched and got up. When we got off of the plane, our parents and older sister Cameron were waiting for us. I said,
"Cam!!"
I ran to her and hugged her. She said,
"So I see you are in one piece, how was your time?"
Ethan said,
"What are we chopped liver?"
We all laughed and Cameron said,
"You guys are still my favorite twins and my favorite brothers, chill."
The boys made a face and Grayson said,
"We're your only brothers dip wad."
They laughed and Cameron said,
"Precisely why your my favorite brothers...duh!"
We all laughed, and hugged our parents. We all got in the car and made our way back to the new house. On the car ride there my parents talked to us about getting along and how happy my mom was that her babies were all back, and how happy my dad was that he got a new recliner last week, 😂. It was fun. It may not have been the most stimulating conversation in the world but it's the little things that made me happy I was home.
