Chapter 26

Authors Note

I am going to give a brief synopsis of their sense of normalcy before I throw in some more drama.....I plan for this story to go for a while so be patient with me. The drama is going to be intense and there will be time lapses but I will do my best to explain the in between periods. Please let me know if something doesn't sound right or grammar issues. I try to go over the story with a fine tooth comb but somethings pass and I am anal about spelling and grammar. Just if it can be done in a nice way....no criticism please.

Christian POV

I look at Ana's face and realize what I said. Fuck I wasn't going to say anything yet. "Who told you Christian? How did you find out"? "Ana dear no one told me. I stayed there one night and I assume you were the 'mold' in my room so I couldn't stay there. When I left the next day Bastille showed up and mom tried her hardest for me not to see but I was suspicious of things so I drove off and there are several places to watch the house and no one will notice. I saw Bastille and Taylor in the gym but then low and behold my Ana walks into the gym. I have to admit I was really pissed, hurt also. But then I though at least I know she is somewhere safe, somewhere I know the people. Does it still bug me that this was kept from me? Yes of course, I have trust issues but that doesn't mean I don't understand, well, after some consideration. But I would love praise that I didn't come and stalk you after I knew. That was the worst, knowing where you were and not able to see you". I walk over to Ana and put my arms around her, drawing her into a hug "But I've got you right where I want you now, don't I"? I lean down and kiss her lips slowly.

"Christian, I never wanted to hurt or deceive you. The plan was for me to go to a mental hospital after your mother left, but she didn't think I could handle being in a facility like that. She offered to take vacation and have me at her home. I preferred that obviously because I knew your parents but I was afraid if you found out, you'd be pissed and want nothing to do with me. Grace and Flynn are the ones who thought it would be better if you didn't know where I was going. It was hard enough for you to let me leave. I was so numb at that point I could have been driven to Manson's cult and I wouldn't have protested. But being with your family and in your room, by the way it smells like you so much, gave me clarity. Having you all around me made it easier to bear". She hugs me tighter, reassuring me of her love. We kissed softly, then things became more passionate. "Baby we keep this up, I'm going to take you to our room and fuck you hard" "Well Mr Grey if that's what needs to happen.....please don't let me stop you". I grab Ana and her legs automatically wrap around my waist as we go into the bedroom for a long night of loving.

Time Skip

I am skipping a couple of months....Ana has started back to work and she and Christian has settled into a normal routine. No drama, no major fighting, minor couples disagreements. Ana was given Jack's old position because the higher ups were unsure of what the new owner had plans for the company. Ana was scared to start with, but found this was her niche in life. It came to her so easily. Christian went back to work also, but taking time to really invest into a relationship with Ana. They are having date nights a few times a week and are showing each other how much they love each other.

Ana POV

I love my job....I never thought I could just start out as an Editor but it seems like I have a talent for this. Must've been all the reading I did through out my life. I have been working as a temporary Editor for almost 2 and a half months. I still work out with Bastille in the evenings...but still do my morning routine with Taylor before work then Taylor joins Claude and I in the gym. With me working now Christian has decided to add more security guards. Now there is Taylor, a guy named Luke Sawyer, who is cute in a boyish kinda way. Also Clarke Ryan who just by looking at him you can tell he was military like Taylor. He kinda intimidates me but Sawyer is now my close protection.

Its frustrating not being able to go anywhere without having someone tag along. Like today, I am leaving work early for a doctors appointment, Dr Greene wants me to do a female physical to see how I am healing after the stuff with Jack. Sawyer is coming with, how embarrassing but he will wait in the waiting room, strict order from the man himself. Mr over protective. "Ms Anastasia Steele the doctor will see you now" I start to walk back and the nurse hands me a cup "Ms Steele we need a sample then she will see you in the exam room". Grr I hate urine samples. I fill the cup, wash my hands and proceed into the exam room. I don't know why they make these offices so cold. Dr Greene walks in "Hello Ana, how are you feeling today"? "Im doing OK I think...tired and irratiable but I figure its PMS". "OK well lets get you in the stir-ups and see how things are looking". I do so grudgingly, I hate this part of the exam. "Well Ana everything looks healed and good but your sample shows something that I need to further examine. Just take a deep breath and it shouldn't be too uncomfortable". Dr Greene takes a long probe and places a condom over it. Then she adds gel, lifts the drape over my legs and feel in being insert inside of me. What the hell.....I groan this is not feeling good. Suddenly there is a monitor besides me and I see sepia tones in the screen. The doctor is clicking buttons and toggling the ball besides it. On the screen is a fuzzy image and something distorted inside of it. Looks like a raspberry or something. Is that inside of me. What the hell? "Well Ana, looks like your test results were correct. Looks like you are about 9 weeks along. Congratulations, I don't expect any complications from your miscarriage. No alcohol, raw fish, certain types of sea food and try to avoid stress. I will want to see you in 4 weeks to make sure everything is on track". "Wait a sec doc....are you saying I'm pregnant? I am on birth control. I got back on after the attack....it would have to be Christians cause I was attacked like 12 weeks ago? It couldn't be the attackers right"? Oh god I couldn't handle if it was Jack's. "No Ana, unless you've slept with anyone besides Christian it would have to be his, its too long since the attack to be the attackers". I breath a sigh of relief. "Here is a copy of the ultrasound so you can have it for the baby book. Next time you come in we can hear the heart beat". I look at the screen in shock. I'm pregnant with Christians child.

How will he feel about it? Dr Greene hands we an envelope of information on dos and don't, I'm not worried about my diet, its already healthy just my training. "Dr Greene I have been training in marital arts, is it safe to continue or should I postpone until I give birth"? "You can go ahead and still train since you were doing it before you conceived but no heavy sparing or contact OK. We don't want to take any chances. Just be mindful of your heart rate and no crunches, weights, push ups. Nothing that puts strain on your abdominal area". "OK could I have my trainer contact you for the dos and don'ts. You have my permission to talk about my condition, but for right now just Claude Bastille. I need to tell Christian first". "No problem Ana, Doctor/patient confidentially". I walk out to the receptionist and make an appointment for 4 weeks from now, hopefully Christian is with me. Sawyer and I walk out of the doctors office and start back to Escala. I call Dr Flynn and put up the privacy screen. "John Flynn's office, how may I help you"? "Yes this is Ana Steele, I need to talk to Dr Flynn please" "Ah Ms Steele, let me just let him know, you are on the list so just a moment". The list? Guess he has a list of priority clients. "Ana dear whats going on"? "John I need your help please? I just came from the doctors office and I got some news and I don't know how Christian will take it. I found out I'm pregnant and I have been taking birth control. I am scared". "Ah Ana congratulations dear, how about this, I am done for the day why don't I meet you at Escala and you and I can talk to him about this together. We know how easily he spooks". "Thank you John, but if your coming over you must stay for dinner, Gail is making her home made chicken stew and it is wonderful" "I will never turn down a meal from Gail, just don't let Rhian know I said that". "Its between us doc. See you in about 20 mins"? "Yes dear, see you soon". I call Gail "Grey residence" "Gail its me, I'm calling to let you know we are going to be having a guest for dinner this evening....its Dr Flynn. He should be there after I get there but if he comes before hand make sure he is comfortable. Also have you heard from Christian, if he is going to be home on time this evening"? "Yes Ana I have and he is running a little behind but not too much. I will make sure Dr Flynn is comfortable and there is plenty of food for a guest. I always make sure no one leaves my table hungry" "That I do know, from experience Gail. See you soon". All taken care of....hopefully things go well tonight. Butterflies are in my stomach that's for sure.
