Christian POV

I watch Ana walk into the elevator, I watch this with a heavy heart. I just got her back and now I am sending her away. I walk into my office, as I enter I receive a call from Ryan. "Grey". "Sir we are getting ready to board, Carla is still preparing to come to Seattle. We are maintaining a safe distance, Welch has taken the voice evidence from Mr Steele and given it to a Detective Clarke of Seattle PD. They will have officers there to apprehend her before she leaves the airport. But it is wise to hide Ms Steele until she is in custody for sure". "Wonderful Ryan, keep me apprised and let me know when she is taken into custody". "Yes sir, also Det. Clarke wants to talk to Ms Steele after her mother is taken into custody. He wants confirmation of what has happened between them". "As long as they go to my mothers, my father is representing her in these proceeding and she needs to be comfortable. I do not care about policy or whatever. They need to come to there". "Yes sir they are calling the flight. I will message Welch about the conditions and explain that it's a security issue". "Let me know when you land and how things progress". I am pissed I understand the police need to speak with her but I want her protected. I wish Carla had just stayed in Georgia and left Ana alone. Now I sit and wait for the other shoe to drop.

Ana POV

We arrive at Grace's home and Carrick comes out to help the guys. "Welcome back Ana. Glad we are able to help you out". "Thanks Carrick I appreciate it. Guess you get to play hotelier for a little while. But at least it's all family". "Too true, also I got a call from Christian and he said a det. Clarke wants to speak to you regarding your relationship with Jose and your mother. He has requested the interview take place here with me present. If you don't object, I will represent you and look out for your best interest". "That is perfect, I appreciate it. Have you heard the recording or seen the photographs?" "Not yet, Clarke is bringing them when he comes, there is some question about the wounds and if they are self inflicted." Self inflicted? Serious? We walked into the house and dad Taylor and Sawyer head upstairs to settle in.

I see Grace and call her over. "Grace can all of us you me Carrick go into his study please?" "Yes dear" we walk into his study and shut the door. "Carrick I know you do not question the validity of my statement but I want to reaffirm they are not self inflicted". I turn my back to them and untie my straps...showing my wounded back and legs. I feel uncomfortable showing myself to Christians father but I want it in his head this is what it is. "God Ana how could they say you did this? This is clearly torture and abuse". I take the straps and retie them. "I knew you believed me but I wanted you to see what the damage is. The bruises on my neck are obviously a man's hand, mine are small and they do not go correctly if I did it myself. This was my fear, they won't believe me". "Ana most times the police rarely believe a victim, that's what I am here for to fight and argue in a way they understand. You my dear, if it gets too much will leave and I will handle everything. I was given the letter your mother sent last year plus the phone conversation. Also Flynn and Christian were witnesses to the confrontation at his apartment. This will not be difficult to prove". "Thank you Carrick I appreciate this". "Ana you are practically my daughter, you gave me a grandson, gave us our son back and are giving me 2 new grandchildren. I imagine it won't be too long until my son proposes". I look at him shocked.

"You think he is going to propose"? "Yes dear I do for a couple of reasons...he loves you very much and second if he marries you before the twins are born they are legally his. He inquired about it yesterday. I imagine he would've already if things hadn't taken the turns they did". Marriage am I ready for that? To Christian....I am I want to make him as happy as he makes me and the fact he wants to secure the twins just proves he wants them. "I would marry him tomorrow if he wanted. I love your son so much". Grace speaks up "We know dear it shines through you both. Let's get you healed before we talk weddings please. Also don't think it's going to be an elopement....don't think so darling, I have wanted to plan his wedding for some time. But enough let's get you to Christians room so you can rest. Teddy is in here in his pack and play sleeping". I nod and we leave the study.
