Taylor POV

Standing guard making sure this shit head doesn't get any funny ideas to run or get away, Sawyer and I alternate watching him and checking the surrounding area for back up. The fact that he was able to infiltrate my security team is amazing and takes a hell of a lot of work. I am extremely meticulous about backgrounds and past incidents. I am surprised that nothing showed up on his even Welch ran checks and he has more resources then I have. Elena must have created a background for him, she knew how diligent Christian was about his security. She would know what would pass and what would put up a red flag. This sick fucker knew where Ana was, participated in her torture. If I had my way this sick excuse of a man would be in pieces in the ocean somewhere, not going to a comfy prison cell. I am waiting for the detective to arrive, I am hoping it will be soon, I want to get away from this sick fucker. Just being in his proximity after knowing what the has done, has me on edge.

I look at my watch and notice it is close to 6 am. It is amazing how the military trains you to go without sleep. My last rest was the night before and even then after hearing that disturbing phone conversation it was not restful. Gail noticed that as well and is concerned after me briefly explaining some on what happened to Ana and the wounds I saw. I am trying to compartmentalize it but in this instance it is not working. Gail saw the wounds today was horrified by them and by some of the things I have told her she is worried I will be haunted by this. She knows I feel guilt over her being taken, not getting there in time to prevent it. Ana doesn't blame me, she has already said this but I blame me. This is what I am train in, protection, security. Ana is more than my boss's girlfriend. She is a friend, would even go so far as to say she is like my family, a sister. So for me, besides my ex-wife and daughter I have no family. They died while I was over seas, my parents in a car crash, I was an only child. There is no one other than Mr Grey, Gail and my daughter to which I care about to that extent. I feel protective of my family and will do whatever I can to protect them.

"Luke I am going into the house to get coffee, want a cup"? "Yes Taylor that would be good. Black no sugar. These long shifts kill me". "I'm used to it and you better as well. There are no office hours in this job". Luke nod in agreement and continues to watch the suspect. I walk into the kitchen and see Mr and Dr Grey are both awake, awaiting the coffee to finish brewing. "Good morning Taylor. Have you been here long"? "Yes sir since very early this morning. Apparently there was a guard that was dirty, tried to abduct Ana early this morning. She stopped him, but Mr Grey being who he is insisted we come down and make sure everything was fine. He is being detained until the police arrive, hopefully soon. Sawyer is guarding him as we speak". "All this while we were asleep. Christian makes sure his team is efficient and resourceful". "Thank you sir. If I could get 2 coffees I would greatly appreciate it". "Of course Taylor. Once the man is taken into custody I expect you and Mr Sawyer to have a hearty breakfast and recharge. We all agree Ana's safety is important but you are no good to anyone if you don't take care of yourself also". Dr Grace has a point. "Yes ma'am we will". We continue idle chit chat when the door bell rings. I look at the Grey's and they nod permission for me to answer.

I go to the door and see a Detective and officers behind him. "I am Detective Clarke. I was informed that someone attempted to abduct Ms Anastasia Steele early this morning". "Yes sir Jared Jenkins is the guard hired for protection, admitted he was hired by Elena Lincoln to abduct her and take her to Stephen Morton, Ms Steele's former step-father. There is a history there, the man is a pedophile and attempted to molest her at a tender age. She left before anything happened beside touching but he has ideas of finishing what he started years ago. The man, Jenkins is being detained outside under the supervision of Luke Sawyer, a body guard on staff for Mr Grey. This morning after he regained consciousness admitted his part and part of the plans that surrounded Ms Steele's abduction over a year ago.  We recorded the admission because the feeling is he will not admit to anything when questioned by authorities". "Can I have the recordings"? I handed over the recording in a sealed bag as we did the other evidence we gather when Ana returned. "The only prints on the device are mine and Luke Sawyers and we have a copy of our 10 card if you need it for exclusion". "That won't be necessary. You have taken proper precautions. Let's go get this suspect, take him into the study here, I want immediate answers and since we are here, if I could speak with Ms Steele and her representation that would be wonderful. Would Mr Grey mind us using his office for the questioning"? "I don't believe that will be an issue, I know he wants these matters resolved as soon as possible. Ms Steele needs time to heal from everything and hasn't even been given the chance". "I need to inform Mr Grey that Ms Steele will need to come and identify her mother as we can proceed with the charges". He will not be happy about this but it is necessary. "I will inform him, its better coming from me".  We walk outside and see Sawyer and the guard in question. The officers go to him and read him his rights, taking the cable ties we bound him in and replacing them with handcuffs. "You can ask me all you want, I refuse to answer anything". "Well then I will use the audio recording as your statement then and present it to the judge as your only words of defense". Jenkins looks at the detective, and just smirks. "You can't use a recording, it could have been altered or hear-say". "The difference here is there are CCTV cameras all over the premises. We have seen everything, the recording being made, the device being placed into an evidence bag and being secured until we arrived. So would you like to change your mind or are you exercising your right to remain silent"?
