Chapter 10

Ana POV

I wake up and am instantly scared as I do not recognize my surroundings. I look around and notice I am at Escala in Christians room. I take a deep breath and release it. I look at the time and it is just past 10am. Wow I slept late. I make my way to the bathroom and start the shower...that is just what I need to wash all the dirt off of me. I turn it from hot to warm as not to irritate the burns on my body. I step into the spray and wince as it burns. I notice a different body wash in the shower and notice it says anti-bacterial....he must have gotten it for me. I smile as I finish up. I enter the bedroom again and see my case by the closet and my things are put away. Mrs Jones gets more done before noon than most. I put on some loose leggings and a t shirt. Tie my wet hair into a messy bun and go looking for food. I am starving.

As I enter the dining room I see Mrs Jones at the stove. She greets me and asks what I want to eat. "Pancakes and bacon would be lovely" she nods and begins making breakfast. I feel someone come up behind me and kiss my head. "Good morning beautiful" he says. I turn and hug him to me "Good morning yourself". "Taylor has already gotten your prescriptions and I am going to call my mother after you eat to check on you". I roll my eyes and he whispers near my ear "Spanking occurs in vanilla relationships as well". I giggle and kiss his cheek. Mrs Jones places a beautiful stack of pancakes and crispy bacon before me. "Thank you Mrs Jones" "Your welcome Ana, Mr Grey mentioned you were injured...if you need assistance please feel free to let me know". "Thank you I will". "Well well seems someone has enchanted my staff" he chuckles. "What can I say I am irresistible" "Indeed".  I begin to eat as Christian stares at me. "Would you like to share"? "No I enjoy watching you eat" "Weird" I chuckle. I finish eating and did not realize how much energy it takes just to eat or converse. I am tired again. Christian sees my eyes start to droop and carries me bridal style to the bedroom to sleep. "Would you mind if I use the lap top in here? Have some e-mails to return and I don't want to leave you" "Sure don't mind" i mumble as I start to fall asleep.

Christian POV

As I watch her sleep I feel a sense of peace. She is here and safe. I hope she stays here forever. But I don't mention this yet as we just started over. I reach for my phone and call my mother. She picks up on the 2nd ring. "Christian my dear how are you"? "I am fine mother and yourself"? "I am well my dear. Not that I mind you calling but I know my son and he doesn't just call to ask how I am doing" "You know me so well, Mother do you remember Anastasia"? "Of course I remember that sweet girl" "Well yesterday she was on a business trip and was injured. They released her from the hospital but I was hoping you could come here and make sure she is doing well" . "Oh dear I hope she is alright, I would be more than happy to look after her. Is she at Escala"? "Yes she is" "May I ask how she was injured"? "It would be better face to face" "Of course, I will be there within the hour" "Thanks mother". She ends the call and I realize I need to call Elliott and let them know Ana is back in Seattle. He picks up on the 3rd ring "Hey bro how's it going"? "Its going OK for now I was calling to let Kate know that Ana is back in Seattle". "She will be excited to hear that. Let me get her" I hear Elliott calling for Kate letting her know its me on the line "Christian how is she"? "She is doing better, she is not catatonic any longer and she is back here in Seattle". "Wonderful, when can I come and get her and bring her home"? "I talked to Ana and she has agreed to stay here until she is better. My mother is going to attend her here also the psychiatrist is within walking distance  from here. He can be here at any hour of the day. Right now she is sleeping she just ate and went back to sleep" "If that is what Ana wants that's fine but can you have her call me"? "You are more than welcome to see her here when you would like, I know how close you and Ana are" "Thank you Christian I appreciate that. I'll see if I can come over later today, after Dr Grace comes by" "I'll let Ana know that" "Thank you for keeping me updated" Kate disconnects the call and I start to answer the numerous email I receive on a daily basis.
