Ray POV

Hearing Ana talk about Texas, Carla, New York and now this.....my baby girl has been through too much. I can't believe Carla would act like this, Ana never lies she is almost incapable of lying. We knew this from her growing up. Why didn't she tell me about Texas? I would have killed the bastard....hmm that's why. She is the little protector. "Annie baby you should have told me. I know why you didn't but baby you didn't need to carry this with you alone. I would have helped you deal with it, put Carla straight. I can't believe her, we all know you can't lie for anything. But I will not call her about this....I might just have to set her straight about this nonsense about Texas. I will not let her call my daughter a liar". "Christian even gave her information proving that he had a bad past before this and she still was adamant. I think its just hopeless but if you want to talk to her dad, its fine. Just please don't mention what has happened or about Teddy, she doesn't want to have anything to do with me, she doesn't need anything to do with my kids". I see the determination and hurt in my Annie's eyes and see how life has changed her. She is harder and more determined. "I feel sorry for Carla and her stupidity, she is losing her only chance at grandchildren, but it will not be an issue for the kids they have me and the Grey's and Christians grandparents. They will never be deprived of love and affection". I see my baby girl with tears in her eyes. I reach out and give her a hug. "Why don't we go and get some sleep, I know this has been a very hectic day for you Annie, and everyone else. The babies need rest and I see Teddy is asleep. Lets start again tomorrow and see if we can wade through this mess and find some answers". Christian and Ana agree and we all begin to retire for the night.

I reach my room and have this burning desire to set some things straight with Carla. I call her phone and she picks up on the third right. "Ray you do realize it is a three hour difference between here and Washington right"? she states sleepily. "Carla I really don't care about time differences right now. What the hell is going on with you and Ana"? "What do you mean? Nothing is going on, we are just taking time to re-evaluate things in our lives. Things will be fine again soon".  "How will they be fine again soon? Have you been in contact with her lately"? I know the answer but I want to know what is going on in her mind. "No I haven't but I have been in contact with her boyfriend. They are having a child I have heard and they will be coming to see me after its born".  "Christian has been in contact with you"? "Christian Grey? No they broke up a year ago. Where have you been. I am talking about Jose Rodriguez. I have been sending him money to get them settled in Canada, and they are coming after the baby is born. They are getting married out here at that time, I have been arranging things for him since they got together. I am so glad they finally got together. I always thought Christian Grey was no good for her and now Jose has finally gotten her to understand what she did in the past and I am almost ready to forgive her when she comes here".  What the hell is going on here? "Well that is different from what I have heard from Ana herself. Something about you blaming her for stuff in Texas, calling her a liar. You know damn well Ana doesn't lie, never could. Blaming her for coming on to your husband, flirting with him? Are you delusional? She was an honors student, who was interested in books, not boys. You need a reality check my dear. I wouldn't expect Ana to be coming to Georgia anytime soon....her boyfriend Christian Grey will not allow you anywhere near her and I fully support him on this. Any grandchildren you were hoping for is in vain, my dear. They, if they ever exist will never know you". "Where the hell is this coming from Ray? Christian is not in the picture and I have spoken with her fiancee....we have made her see reason and I will accept her apology when they get here. You have no idea where she is or have spoken to her. I know this...she is my child, not your remember that". "Really your child? Who raised her after you 'sent her away'? Who saw her through college? Not you, me. I am her father not by blood but by choice and I have a relationship with her. I have actually spoken to her, how do you think I know about Texas Carla? She didn't want me to know but she finally told me tonight. I am ashamed to have ever called you my wife and say I loved you. But I got one thing out of it...Ana. I will protect her from you and anyone else I have to with her fiancee Christian Grey. I know who is in her life, what her life has been like. Get the delusions out of your head....you have no child and you come for her, I will put you down". "Don't do this Ray....you do not know who you are messing with. Jose and I will make sure she is with us....she doesn't need that rich bastard in her life. She needs to learn her place....". "You sick bitch, you know...." "Jose and I are going to make her listen to reason but its OK Ray eventually I'll let her talk to you. Look I am not hurting her she just needs to know the past needs to be avenged and she is ready to admit what she did. Jose has told me this morning she is ready to apologize. I love my girl and I need her to understand how she hurt me, trying to take my husband. I love Bob but I desire and need Stephen. He is being released soon and we will be together and Ana won't stand in the way anymore". I am stunned. Carla is part of this kidnapping scheme. I need to let Christian know ASAP. "Carla don't hurt her or you will answer to me". "Good bye Ray". What the hell is going on here? I leave my room and run into Taylor.
