Chapter 53

Ana POV

I am laying down somewhere....I hear a beeping in the background and wonder if I'm in a hospital. I try to move my arm and find something sharp inside the arm. Great an IV just love needles. I try to open my eyes and it hurts. My whole body hurts so badly. I hear people talking but am not able to know what they are saying. My body is unwilling to respond to my commands, how I'd give anything just to know what is wrong. As I continue to fight my body I expend what little energy I have and fall back into the abyss.

Christian POV

I sit besides my Ana waiting for her to rejoin the land of the living. After Ana announced to the judge to address her as Mrs Grey my heart swelled with pride but pandemonium erupted within the courtroom. Jose made several attempts to attack me and threaten my life and that of my Ted. The stress was becoming too much and Taylor sensed it so he and Flynn we're removing her from the situation when Jose threatened across the room 'I'll fucking get you back and that baby you belong to me bitch!' when I saw her go white as a sheet and fall towards the ground. Taylor and Flynn caught her before she hit the floor but she was already gone. Mom pushed her way through the crowd, her being a doctor was able to bring her supplies with her, just in case. She was checking her blood pressure and heart when she stated she needed an ambulance. "Her blood pressure is 160/99 it's way too high for someone without a weight issue or underlying illness. Fetal heart rate is lower than I'd like but no surprise because of her blood pressure. She needs to go to the hospital ASAP". The paramedics arrived quickly and with mom and Taylor left the room as everyone was required to remain until court was recessed.

"Your honor this is proof that facing her abusers was too much for an almost 8 1/2 month pregnant woman to face. Yesterday her pressure was elevated as well. Her fear is they will be released and she will be abducted again taken from her son, and beaten either until she is dead or doesn't care what happens any longer". The judge sighs grabs the bridge of her nose and shakes her head, Ludwig speaks "Your honor Ms Steele just proved how she is unfit to raise a child. Facing something she didn't want to, she fainted and made it like she wouldn't wake up. I'd bet good money she woke up just after she left the room. We feel this changes nothing we'd like to proceed to set my clients free".

The judge tries to reign in her irritation "Mr Ludwig your clients will be going to prison.. believe you me. Do you think the mountain of evidence and written confessions are thrown out just because they decided they changed their minds? No it doesn't. Sentencing for the accused....Jose Rodriguez you will e sentenced to 50 years no possibly of parole also and this is standard for all of you you are to have no contact with Anastasia Grey no calls no letters nothing. I hear of any sort of communication from any of you, your sentence will change drastically. Carla Wilkins you are sentenced to 39 years no possibly for parole. Elena Lincoln you are sentenced to 43 years no possibly of parole. As for you Jasper Ludwig you will be disbarred having alluded to your crimes which is disgusting you will receive 20 years no possibly of parole. Now once any and or all of you become released from prison you are to have no contact with the victim. Also I understand that a large funds have been set aside for whatever misdeeds you were planning to continue....those funds are to be transferred into the child's name becoming a college fund of sorts to ensure the future and you know while I'm at it Mrs Lincoln's fortune will also be set aside for a college fund for Theodore Raymond Grey as he is as much a victim in all of this as his mother. I am taking all properties in any of your names and transferring them to Mrs Grey as compensation for your atrocious abuses placed upon her. Now I do not normally rule this way but these crimes the way they have been portrayed are absolutely henious. So I rule in this matter Jose Rodriguez Carla Wilkins and Elena Lincoln with absolute prejudice. Mr Schomburg you will distribute the funds as per my orders as well as properties to those whom I have given them to. Court is adjourned".
