Looking Through the Stars

Purple Monkey

Rose walked outside to call Sarah and Jack back inside. Only to find a mud soaked monkey and a crying Sarah; Jack was nowhere to be seen.

Rose kneeled down next to Sarah and rubbed circles on her back, "What happened sweetie?"

The young girl held up the stuffed monkey and sobbed harder.

"Did Jack do this?" Rose questioned.

"Yes! He said I was to old to have stuffed friends!" Sarah's sudden outburst made Rose jump.

"Now, you can have stuffed animals around all you want. Don't listen to Jack," Rose lowered her voice to a whisper, "He's probably just jealous."

Sarah's brow furrowed, "Why?"

"Because he's just like his father." Rose laughed. She took her daughter's hand and lead her and the purple monkey into the wash room. Sarah's tears returned as Rose took away the monkey.

"I don't wanna throw away Mr. Ahoy!" She cried.

"I'm not throwing Mr. Ahoy away, he needs a bath. He'll be back in a sec, why don't you go get a tea party set up?" Rose tempted.

Sarah seem to sulk off into her room, Rose was starting the wash when the Doctor's arms snuck around her waist.

"You know I heard you earlier?"

Rose laughed, "I'm sure you did."

Rose turned around to wrap her arms around his waist. She smiled sweetly at him.

"You realize I have the dishwasher running?" He asked with raised eyebrows.

"I guess Mr. Ahoy is taking a cold bath." Rose breathed, the Doctor leaned down to kiss her nose. Only being interrupted by Rose pulling him to her lips. He smiled against they're kiss; opening his eyes, he looked into her hazel ones.

"You know something I don't tell you enough?" He whispered, Rose hummed in response.

He smiled widely and said, "I love you."
