Genevieve~

She felt stressed on the way somewhere. Her heart carried this huge burden. Her eyes fixed from the car window to Jeff, who was very focus on the road in front of them. On the highway at 120km/h it seemed that they were going somewhere far away. Jeff took a side glance at her and then smirked a bit. Genevieve wondered, can I ever tell someone that? She felt that it will pressure Jeff if she told him. Should she?

"Jeff?" Genevieve breathed," Where are we going?" she asked curiously. Jeff's eyes shifted onto her for a moment. He just smirked and kept on driving.

"It's a surprise." He told her. Genevieve mentally shrieked in frustration. She loved surprises but that was killing her. Literally. She pouted and stared out of the window solemnly. Jeff shook her shoulder after a while. She just shrugged him off and continued looking upwards at the sky. The fluffy white clouds floated around freely. Lucky. Genevieve thought.

"Genevieve? You alright?" Jeff asked concerned. Genevieve just ignored him. But she gave him a shook of her head and continued looking up. The clouds in the sky were formed in a shape of a house. It looked worn out and run down. A splitting image to the one she and the girl was trapped in. Unknowingly, she felt a tear run down her cheek. Suddenly she felt the car jerked and stopped altogether.

"Genevieve, are you mad at me?" Jeff asked gently. She did not have the power to be mad at him. Jeff was too innocent for her to be mad at him. Genevieve smiled and the worried frown on his forehead disappeared. Jeff bit his lip. "I am taking you somewhere, where perhaps we could know each other better." He admitted. But Genevieve noticed that he was steering clear of the venue topic.

She sighed. At least she had a slight idea now. Then she hugged Jeff.

"Jeff, I can never be mad at you." She said softly. Jeff smiled and kissed Genevieve's forehead. They smiled at each other. Genevieve could burst into bubbles and fly up into the sky. She felt at ease and peacefulness with Jeff. Then they continued their drive.

15mins later, they slowed to a crawl and then stopped.

They were outside of town where they lived. Here was the countryside. A very peaceful place. The air was clear and fresh. The smell of grass and flowers filled the air. Genevieve smiled. It felt like home before her dad died. They lived in a small peaceful house. Even though it was troublesome to travel to and fro from work everyday, Genevieve's dad always said," Once you learn to appreciate it, you never want to let it go." He laughed as the smaller version of Genevieve sat on his lap. Genevieve didn't understand what he meant then. But she did now. Jeff had gone to a nearby shop to buy some things.

Then Genevieve smelt black pepper roast chicken, pasta mixed with herbs and some freshly baked olive bread. Her mouth watered at the appealing thought of food. She realised that she hadn't eaten her breakfast and was starving. Genevieve's stomach grumbled and Jeff was carrying two bags of things. Genevieve made a grabbed for the bags but only held the air.

"Let's go up the hill first." Jeff said. Genevieve eyed the food and decided it was worth it. They slowly climbed up the small hill filled with soft and green grass. There were small blue butterflies flying all around. It made that place magical. Finally, the planted their sore and stiff butts on a shady spot under a tree. Jeff looked at Genevieve.

"Do you like this place?" He quizzed. Genevieve smiled at him and nodded. He pointed in front of them. Genevieve squinted her eyes There was something sparking blue in the middle of the forest. Genevieve's eyes widen with realisation.

"Oh my god." She breathed. It was a mini waterfall. "It's beautiful." She gushed as Jeff pulled out a mat for both of them to sit on. He smiled at her.
