. Genevieve~
Jeff's face was red. His eyes were puffy from crying. He broke down when he told her the story of Jenny.

Jeff POV-
She was my neighbour. My sole childhood friend, there weren't many people falling in love in Treeston. And there weren't many kids around. I was the same age as Jenny and we hung out together. Our parents were best friends, so they wanted their best friend's kids to fall in love with each other. I did fall for Jenny. I think she did fall for me but... I don't know.
One day... I wanted to admit to her I liked her when I was seven. I went to her house. Her parents were there, looking very worried. They saw me come over and they looked at me sadly.
"You're too late." They said,"Jenny disappeared." I was seven, I didn't really know the meaning of that. I just knew Jenny had disappeared. Then, I started crying. Even my parents didn't know how to comfort me. And... I never saw her again.

Genevieve~
It was such a sad story. She hugged Jeff tightly.
"Be happier."Genevieve said."Maybe she has gone peacefully to heaven already." She whispered. Jeff looked at her sadly and nodded. Then, he straightened up and headed into the forest. Genevieve was hiding something from him, something that told her Jenny was dead.
Genevieve and Jeff walked into the forest. The sunlight was dim, hidden by the trees above. She was wearing some hiking boots instead of her high heels at the party. Jeff had bought the boots for her. And her dress was changed to a light green top with a matching long pants. At least she had a boyfriend with a good taste in clothes. Genevieve smiled. Jeff was focused ahead of them. Then he turned around and smiled at Genevieve.
"I know what you are thinking." He smiled and laughed. Genevieve pouted. She didn't want him to read her mind. It has too many private thoughts. Jeff laughed, but his eyes was glazed with sadness. They walked along in the lush greenery. Then they saw a dirt path. Jeff took Genevieve's hand gently and they walked along the dirt path.
The forest was beautiful. Birds chirping, squirrels jumping around, flowers smiling at the sun. And the canopy above them, all the trees. Then Genevieve looked straight ahead. And Jeff too. She admitted. And blushed. It was a nice day for them.
She felt sad for him still, and Jenny. They finally heard the sound of water. Rushing water. Genevieve bounced up and down excitedly. She then ran forward like a little kid in an amusement park.
The waterfall. It was a tall thing, with lake blue water flowing down... it was an amazing sight. Jeff stood beside her.
"Amazing right?" He asked. Genevieve nodded. The plants surrounding the waterfall danced to the breeze. The scent of lavender filled the air. And lilies. Jeff laughed as Genevieve sneezed. Then he tugged her hand and drawled her closer to him.
"Come with me." He beckoned. Genevieve followed him till the back of the waterfall. A tiny cave. Genevieve saw water dripping from the top of the cave. Feeling thirsty, she cupped her hands and let the water drip onto her hands, then she drank the refreshing and cool water from there. Yum. She thought. Going for seconds. When she was finally full on water, Jeff tapped her shoulder.
"We need to go." He said. It was late afternoon and the sun was going to set soon. Genevieve looked down. Disappointed that they had to go.
They walked out of the cave. Relunctantly. Genevieve noticed the air stilled and Jeff was holding her hand tightly. The tightly part frightened her. She knew something was wrong. The birds stopped chirping, the animals hardly moved anymore. The forest seemed to be silence. Not peaceful, but fearful. Genevieve turned around, taking one last look at the waterfall. She paused. It caught her eye.
Not the waterfall.
"Wait." She told Jeff and ran. And there it was. That abandoned house. The exact same freaking house.
So it was real. It was true. The girl she dreamed of had been real. And the boy was...
Jeff?
He raced up to her and stood in his tracks. Genevieve turned around. In front of him was a puddle. A puddle of water. The reflection was not him. It was the little boy.
So.. the girl. Was Jenny. And the boy was Jeff. Genevieve held back a gasp. This cannot be real. So that really happened?
Jeff eyed the house, in shock and in fear. He reached out for Genevieve.
"What is wrong?" He asked. Genevieve glanced up at him.
"Jenny. She was here." Genevieve replied softly. She couldn't take the blow. The numbness of that realization. That you know what was happening. Jeff gazed down. Unable to speak for himself. Genevieve hugged him.
"I know. I'm sorry." She whispered into his ear. She knew what happened to Jenny. But in her mind... who was Jenny? Why did she dream of her? How did she die?
