Garroth's POV
"What do you mean?!"
"It's simple, Garroth. It's not hard to understand." Zane, my younger brother, rolled his eyes, annoyed at me.
"Mom is coming," he explained, "Today. And, none of us talked to her in years."
"We know that Zane!" Vylad put his head in his hands.
My two brothers and me were sat on the couch at my house. I made sure Laurence, Dante and Travis weren't here.
"Garroth doesn't seem to know anything, Vylad. Like usual!"
"Hey!" I whined.
"It's true." Zane huffed in reply.
Zane turned to Vylad, ignoring me.
I don't want to see mom. She wasn't mean. Mom was amazing. A great person. But, dad... He is a whole different story from mom.
"What do you think, Garroth?"
I snapped back into reality, away from my thoughts. I stared into Vyald's eyes, trying to think of what he just asked me.
"Uh, umbrella?"
Zane slapped his forehead, closing his eyes. Vylad stared at me blankly.
"Were we not talking about an umbrella..?" I laughed nervously, rubbing the back of my neck. "No?"
"No." Zane rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Not even close to what we were talking about. We were talking about caterpillars!"
"Really?" I chirped.
"No! I was being sarcastic, idiot!" Zane rolled his eyes. "What should we say to mom when she gets here in..." He looked around for a clock, "In less than thirty minutes!"
"I don't see why you are so nervous Zane." Vylad mumbled, laughing a bit, making me laugh too. Zane growled when hearing Vylad's comment about him.
"You guys don't understand anything!"
"Aw, c'mon baby brother!" I hugged him, not letting go. He squirmed, like a worm out of soil. "Just accept it!"
Vylad joined in.
Zane whined, but soon gave up, letting us hug him.
