Step 1: Your Parents Inform You That You're Getting Married To Their Friend's Son.

So, there I was enjoying the scene before me where my parents were discussing the possible marriage of Geoffrey. It was hilarious because now, Geoffrey had to say goodbye to Marrisa, Georgina, Cynthia and the 2 billion girls whose number he has collected but never called.

"It won't work, I refuse to let it happen," Geoffrey said and all the laughter I've been dying to contain erupted.

"What's so funny?" Geoffrey asked sporting an annoyed look.

"It's just you're trying to change their decision when you know their minds are already made up. You are getting married, just accept it," I said between laughs.

Geoffrey's expression changed to an amused one, "Chiamaka Sandra Chiaha, you really think I'm the one getting married? Honey you're the one getting married."

My loud laughter died in my throat, "What?!"

Geoffrey walked and stood behind my parents who were looking at any direction but mine, "explain it in simple terms because, Sandra must have lost that part of her brain that understands stuffs."

"Sandra, you're getting married to my best friend's son," my dad cheered. "How lucky are you?"

"You hate the Drake's," Geoffrey said.

I pointed to myself, "How lucky am I?"

"So you'll do it?" my mom asked.

"No!"

"Why?!"

"Because I can't and I won't. I mean, this is absurd."

"If it's Geoffrey we're planning to marry off, it's awesome but if it's you, it's absurd."

"No."

"No?"

"Yes."

My mom smiled, "SHE SAID YES!"

"What?!"

"WE ALL HEARD HERE SAY YES, RIGHT?!"

"YES!" Geoffrey and my dad said the same time I said "NO!"

And that people was how I got engaged to candidate number 17. Just for clarity sakes, I'm still a teenager.

Re-presenting all the way from the boarding school he was exiled to, Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys And Girls, Men and Women, Child and Children give it up for, candidate number 17........... Samuel Drake.

Step 2: You Move To A New Town And A New School to Meet Your Fiance.

The Drake's moved to a land far far away, even farther than Shrek's far far away and I was to go and meet him because apparently, he had turned to this bad and evil jerk and I was to be his salvation. The salvation part was easy because come on, I was the true definition of saving grace.

When I arrived, I expected Samuel to be like they said; a jerk and sorry to raise your hopes, he was that; a jerk. He wore leather jackets, rode a bike, had girls swooning for him and most importantly, he hated my presence.

I wish.

Turned out, Samuel was a loner. You know how you move to a new school and everyone just ignores the cramps out of you, that's what my alleged future husband was going through.

And I was his saving grace.

Step 3: He Has Some Run-ins With The Bigger Bad Boy And Gets Ordered To Leave You Alone Or You Die.

Apparently, Samuel was really stubborn and he refused to let me be, so we get kidnapped unlike in the book.

Bigger Bad Boy had Samuel and I kidnapped and tied to a chair. He paced in front of us, playing with his toy gun.

"I demand to be released, who do you think you're scaring with that toy gun?" I asked glaring at Bigger Bad Boy.

"Toy gun!" he scoffed and fired some shots in the air. "How's that for toy gun?"

I rolled my eyes, "so, it's an actual gun with gun powder in it, so what?"

BBB pointed the gun at Samuel, "how about I shoot your little boyfriend here and check how real the bullets are?"

"Don't do it!" Samuel said the same time I said, "Do it."

"You're asking him to kill me," Samuel looked at me accusingly.

"Of course not, I'm merely asking him to prove that there are actual bullets in his gun. How is it my fault that he chose you as the target?"

"Shoot her," Samuel told BBB.

"I'm sorry, is this how you intend to keep me safe after we get married?" I asked in surprise.

"With this attitude, it'd be a miracle if you get an actual husband."

"Shut up!" BBB yelled.

"It'd be a miracle if you get a girlfriend," I sassed back.

"Oh please, like I didn't date you. Remember how you were so desperate for me kiss you?" Samuel asked and I gasped.

By now, the ropes had loosened and Samuel and I stood face to face.

"Yeah, like I was the one who got sent off to a boarding school for being to desperate."

"At least I got a chance to think about my life!"

"And pray do tell which bright ideas you came up with!"

Samuel sighed, "I can't live without you!"

"That's very- say what now?"

"Yeah, say what now?" BBB asked.

"I love you," was all Samuel said before placing his lips on mine.

Actual Story.

In the midst of our argument, BBB fired shots in the air, the police arrived and still, Samuel and I didn't stop arguing.

That relationship didn't work out.

Epic fail!
