Back in my arms

My hands trembled as i stood in the warm spacious room.
People scurried by in a hurry, left and right.
I was anxious as well but in a different way entirely.
No need to rush anywhere, I was right where I needed to be.
Time seemed like it had stopped.
Then all at once my heart began beating fast and hard.
I rocked forward onto my toes and back.
What I was waiting for had finally arrived, only a few more moments to wait.
Those few minutes seemed like forever as I watched person after person hug their loved ones.
I patiently waited, anxiously watching for him.
Then my heart skipped a beat as his green eyes glistened.
His lips smirked up showing my favorite smile.
I couldn't contain my excitement, as tears rolled down my face.
I ran to him and he did the same.
Picking me up in the air he twirled me around and my heart was complete.
After months of calls, and videos my man was finally home.
I could run my hand up the side of his cheek.
I could kiss his sweet soft lips.
I was finally able to be in his protective arms.
My happiness, my everything was right in front of me and I was in disbelief.
He smiled down at me and said "Let's go baby".
In that moment I was assured you were my one, as we walked out of the airport hand in hand.
