I gazed up at the night sky
Wishing on a shooting star for the fifth time
Loneliness following me like a shadow
I hummed as I kept walking

Finally, home I sit on the front step
Watching the people walk by
Cars beep and squeak as they go by
Across the street sat a young couple

He explained his love for her
How he was ready for marriage
Raw and heartfelt emotion
As he held her hand

Tears streamed her face
Her voice quivered
She responded with unsure thoughts and fear
Rejection spat from her mouth

Tears soaked both of their clothing
The man hugged her one last time
Loving her with each touch
He said goodbye

She begged for him not to leave
Honey stay with me she had screamed
With her fear she lost him
He walked away and didn't turn back

That was enough observation for me
Love was just something of history
Maybe a pure second of enjoyment
Suddenly I remembered, Fairytales are fictional stories.
