Rough knotted rope filled my hands.
Wrapped around each one.
I pulled with all my might.
Gaining some ground I kept pulling.
All was well until the rope pulled back.
Digging my feet into the sand I yank.
The rope had too much force.
I lose ground rapidly and have to start over again.
Confidence runs through my veins.
I pull the rope and take a few steps.
On the other side of the rope was darkness.
Until the shine hit his forest eyes.
I dropped the rope and fell to my knees.
Why am I having this war with you.
The confusion grew as the rope disappeared.
All of the sadness and anger towards you left.
The fight was over and you had won.
I was weak so I am done.
