Walk another time

Trees creak as the wind blows through each leaf,

Sending chills down my spine,

So cold my breath a white mist,

I wander another step from my patio,

One step on a frigid walk,

In a moment, I slip grabbing the rail for balance,

Icy wonderland, that's just great,

Wishing for the days of warmer weather,

Flowers blossoming and critters scurrying,

For now, I turn around and go back inside,

Laughing at the irony,

Decision made to walk another day.
