"Do I need to remind you all that the damn building's coming down!" Sam shouted into the walkie-talkies. He was out flying somewhere above the facility using his suit thing with wings. I didn't even know what the hell it was but he seemed emotionally attached to them.

"Yelling won't do us any good, Wilson." Natasha calmly reminded him.

"How far is everyone from an exit?" Steve asked. Silence filled the walkies for a moment. I was on my bacn with hands around my neck. My legs came up and wrapped around the man's neck, then I pulled him off of me and pinned him to the ground.

"I'm out with Sam." Bucky replied. I used the butt of my gun to knock the agent out. I was on my feet and moving in the next few moments.

"I'll be out in two seconds." Natasha said.

"Give me a little extra time." I spoke quickly, then attached the device back on to my pants pocket. I took a clip out of my jacket and refilled the magazine of my gun.

"You don't have that long, Widia."

"I'm well aware of that, Natasha." I dodged a few chunks of ceiling and simultaneously fired my weapon in the direction of two HYDRA agents.

I was suddenly knocked to the ground and a sharp pain radiated throughout the back of my head. A few bullets ricocheted off of the ground by my head. I forced myself to turn on to my back and start to sit up. Looking up, I was staring down the barrel of a pistol. I locked my jaw and met the gaze of the agent behind the gun. Just as she was about to pull the trigger, a heavy, metal bar swung down and threw her across the room. I took the opportunity to pick up my gun and run. I searched for my walkie, which must've been knocked off of my pants sometime while I was fighting. I didn't have time to go back now. I just had to go.

My attempt to escape the collapsing building didn't last long. Something tackled me to the ground and efficiently knocked the gun from my hand. A heavy punch was delivered to my mouth and I managed to get in a decent punch to the agent's nose, but I wasn't doing very good in my position.

"Hey!" Someone else, a more familiar voice, shouted. The agent on me turned his attention to Bucky, who was standing a few feet away from my feet. Bucky shot the agent and then pulled him off of me.

"You're an idiot, you know that?" He held his hand out for me.

"Shut up." I started to take his hand but stopped when I heard a very bad creak and groan from the structure above us. Out of nowhere, Bucky threw himself down on top of me, his metal arm coming up to cover my head as more and more debris fell around us.

Hastily, I slipped one arm around his shoulders to pull him closer to me and my other hand went to the back of his head to cradle him closer to me. I didn't want anything hitting his head or killing him. He was protecting me, but who would protect him? My eyes found his and he only looked away, his crystal blue orbs looking to the space beside my head.

Everything around us began to shake and tremble. My grip on Bucky grew extremely tight and I closed my eyes, only hoping we'd be okay.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

At first, my eyes burned with the bright lights and the stench of strong cleaners such as bleach and other sterilizing agents burned my nose. I happened to glance into the corner of the room and I saw Riggs. My heart jumped to my throat, stealing my breath. I sat up, gripping the arms of the hospital bed.

"Ms. Cooper, you need to calm down." A nurse spoke to me, her hand on my wrist. It was only then did I realize she was in the room with me. I yanked my hand back and returned my gaze to the corner. It was empty. My eyes flighted around the room, searching for any signs of Natasha or Bucky or someone else from the group.
