It was early when the both of us actually laid down and I didn't expect to fall asleep. But when I woke up, it was because I felt something kick my leg. I glanced over my shoulder to see Bucky was asleep. He was moving quite a bit.

"Bucky?" I brought my hand up to brush my hair out of my eyes. "You okay over there?"

He was silent for a moment before I saw him sit up and move out of the bed.

"Bucky—,"

"I'm fine." He grumbled. I propped myself up on one elbow and tucked pieces of hair behind my ear. I watched as Bucky went over to the window and peaked out of the crack between the curtain and the window-pane. He was silent, eyes blankly staring ahead.

"Was it a bad dream?" I spoke softly as I moved to lean back against the headboard. He nodded his head just slightly.

"I didn't mean to kick you."

"It's okay." I shrugged my shoulders lightly. "I probably wasn't gonna stay asleep much longer anyways." Silence fell between us as he stayed where he was and I remained on the bed. I was pretty sure neither of us were going to go to sleep any time soon. Glancing over to the alarm clock on the stand beside the bed, I saw that the red letters read 1:28a.m. This is how the rest of the night would go. I could feel it. I pulled my duffle bag up on to the bed and unzipped it.

"What are you doing?" Bucky asked me, glancing over as I started to pull out the weapons I had brought with us.

"Just seeing if I remember how to work these things."

"You used one earlier today. I don't think you forgot."

I shrugged my shoulders as I started to take apart a Walther PPQ 45.

"I don't like guns." I thought aloud. "I haven't for a while."

"Did it have to do with losing your team?" Bucky asked. I nodded my head softly. "Something doesn't feel right." He mumbled under his breath, bouncing his left fist up and down.

"What's up?" I asked, glancing over to him out of the corner of my eyes.

"I don't know. I just don't.... don't have a good feeling about anything."

"Was it the dream?" I picked up a Glock and turned my head to him. He shook his head in reply and continued to look outside. "Something out there." I stated. He was silent. "Well get away from the damn window for starters."

I could hear the eye roll in his voice as he sighed out.

"I'll go do a sweep outside to make you feel better." I stood up and tucked the Glock into the back of my pants.

"Like that won't draw any attention." I heard him mumble.

"Shut up." I spoke under my breath as I slipped my jacket on. "I worked with S.H.I.E.L.D. for twelve years. I know how to blend in."

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"No. I got it." I shook my head as I unlocked the door and slipped out. Keeping my head down, my eyes swept the parking lot. My car was parked in front of the room Bucky and I shared. Just next to us was the room Steve, Natasha, and Sam were in.

I made my way down the sidewalk along the motel building. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something move, but when I turned my head to look for someone, no one was there. Bringing my eyes back to the path ahead of me, I nearly cursed out loud. Someone was walking towards me, someone who I hadn't seen earlier. But I should have. Sneaky bastard.

My hands remained in tight fists inside the pockets of my jacket as I passed the man. As soon as he went by me, I glanced over my shoulder to see him duck into a motel room. Before I could turn to watch where I was going, I ran into someone. This someone grabbed my jacket and proceeded to slam me into the brick wall of the motel.
