Hollow Coves - These Memories
-----------------------------------Callum POV
Have you ever feel that you would never be the main character in your life?
Average looking boy, 5 feet 5 inches tall, plain, not particularly skinny but not muscular either. Social awkward, couldn't talk right unless make a fool of yourself. Well, that was indeed me we were talking about. Always standing in someone else shadows, especially my twin younger brother, Connor, who was the total opposite of me.
Let's be honest here. Who wouldn't envy him? He was a total jock, super popular, smart, charming, and way taller than me even though we were supposed to be twins. And what else? He was the golden FUCKING child in my family.
Well, welcome to my shitty life. But nevertheless, I did believe there was someone out there who had shittier life than I do. So to tell you the truth, I actually love my ordinary simple life. Coincidentally, I also prefer to appeared invisible among my peers instead become the center of attention like Connor, my twin brother dearest. So it was a win-win situation for me.
"Helloo~ Callum dick head, are you even listening to me??" Alaina, one of my closest best friends waving her hand in front of me makes me snapped out of my daily routine monologue. Her curly red hair was tied up into a ponytail, makes her fair skin and green eyes more pop than usual, showed her natural beauty of a ginger. If I were straight, I would totally have crushed on her. Hmm, did I forget to mention that I was gay?
"What is it, Al!?" I said grumpily while slamming my metal locker door and locked it. My hands were still busy putting several heavy textbooks inside my bag while Alaina glaring at me.
"Geez, why are you so grumpy today? Are you on your period or something?" She cried out, put her hands on the air acting all dramatic. I rolled my eyes at her. Both of us walked through the corridor toward our class, passing by other students who also busy with their activities.
"I said let's do the usual stuff this weekend. You, me and Mason. It's been a while since the three of us did that. So you need to clear all of your schedule this weekend FOR ME!" Hearing this I could only look at her with an amused face. So bossy are we? I smirk at her.
"What??" Alaina frowned her brows and scrunched up her nose. This was her way to acting all dumb or innocent whenever she tried to hide something from me which was a total failure.
"Come one, shoot it." I said calmly. "It's no use hiding it from me whatever happened between you and Dylan is." Alaina put her hand or her chest, acting all shocked after what I said to her. Such a drama queen.
She always acted all bossy and sensitive whenever she had a fight with her boyfriend, Dylan. She would urge us to spend our weekend to do the usual stuff with her, which was consisting of us hanging out at the mall. No scratched that, not hanging out but accompany her shopping and carry all of her stuff at the mall. And we would end the day at my house where we were watching some boring drama movies that she loves the most. She would cry her eyes out blabbering non-stop about the movies like a drunkard while me and Mason munching all the snacks like a fucking pig.
You could say this kind of thing happens almost every time, just like a ritual. Alaina has an on and off relationship with Dylan, mostly because of some stupid reason on Alaina's part. But even though they acted like that, I know that the two of them cared and loved each other.
How could I be so sure? Well, that was because I know Dylan. He was pretty much a cool guy (and maybe the only guy) who could put up with Alaina's eccentric traits. Plus, he was a social butterfly who had tons of friends and well respected in our school. So I didn't mind that he dated Alaina as long as he was not hurting her, cheat on her or acting like an ass to her. If he dared to do so, well let's just say he would regretted that he had ever been born in this planet.
