---------------------------------------Callum POV
"Calum, do you have a minute?" Alaina approached me in front of my locker. I've just finished my detention class and went to my locker to get my things before I meet up with Liam.
"How come you still in here?" I shut my locker and locked it before turn to face her. Usually at this hour other students already went home, except the one who has join the sport clubs.
"I'm waiting for you." Alaina told me. "We need to talk, Cal, about everything that has been happened lately. You can't just keep avoiding us like this." She bit her lips.
"There's nothing to talk about, Al." I brushed her off and about to walk away when she grabbed my hand.
"Cal, please.... We haven't spoke in a while. Not after our stupid fight... " I could feel her hand trembling. "I... I really miss you." I looked at her eyes and noticed that Alaina felt anxious talking to me.
I sighed. "I miss you too, you know..." I said to her as I squeezed her hand. "It's true. It's been a while since the last time we talk or hang out together." I smiled and she gladly returned it back at me.
"Yeah..." Her eyes were glistening with tears. Was she crying? Oh, shit!
"Hey, don't cry on me now. Dylan will kill me." I groaned as I open my arms to hug her. Alaina hugged me back and giggled on my shoulder while clenching my back.
"He wouldn't dare to do that to you or I'll cut his balls." Alaina joked.
"Ouch. I don't want to imagine that." I chuckled.
We sighed in content and stayed in the same position for a while.
"I'm sorry... for everything I did. I didn't mean to pushed you away or to hide about Mason and Connor from you." Alaina said softly.
"I don't know how to tell you about them. I mean, both of you are my best friends and Connor was your brother. I thought by keeping a silent about it would protect you, but how naive could I be. I didn't mean to hurt you, Cal."
"Yeah, I know. It's okay, Al, it doesn't matter anymore. And I'm sorry too for hiding about me and Liam from you. I know you hate him that's why I keep it a secret. I don't want things to be more complicated than it already was. " I told her the truth. Alaina nodded as she released me.
She looked at me deeply in my eyes, piercing my pale blue one with her green orbs. Alaina caressed my cheek with her soft fingers and gave me a soft peck. We both smiled at each other like an idiot.
"Let's hang out at Jack's after this. I'm starving." Alaina held my hand and drag me along in the corridor.
"What? Right now?" I blink my eyes, a bit confused with her sudden invitation.
"Well, duh! Did you even need to ask?" Alaina rolled her eyes, giggling.
"I can't. Liam is waiting for me." I stopped my move. "How about if we meet up there tomorrow?" Alaina shot a dagger at me.
"No. You're always spending time with him. I want to hang out with you now and we still need to talk about you two." She glared. "To tell you the truth I haven't approved it yet."
I looked at her in disbelieve. "What are you? My mom?"
"I'd rather be called as your sister than your mother." She snorted. "Why don't you ask him to join us?"
