Callum POV
"So... Where do we start?" I tried to break the tension between Liam and Eli that has been going on for a while.
We were now sitting face to face in Liam's living room to clear up the misunderstanding. Eli was openly glaring at the two of us, well mostly at Liam because he hates the guy. Liam also didn't hold back to show his displeased at Eli. He gave him death stares even before we sat down on the couch. Me on the other hand didn't have any other choice besides sitting between the two of them awkwardly. I sighed.
I kind of understand why Eli was sulking with me. He knows now that the guy who blackmail and dating me was actually the same Liam Blackwell that he despise. But instead of telling him the truth, I was hiding it from him. He clearly didn't like this idea one bit. In addition to that, I was now sitting nonchalantly on Liam's laps right in front of him. I guess its add fuel to the fire.
I know Eli was worried about me. The moment Eli saw my bruises, he no longer want to leave me in Liam's apartment before he got a clear explanation of what happened to me. That made Liam wants to kick him out forcefully. He even almost calls the security guard to toss Eli's out of his apartment but I stopped him.
When I said I want to clear up the whole situation with Eli, Liam couldn't say anything back. He hated the idea but didn't have any other choice when I begged him to. Liam complied but under two conditions. He made me wear his sweatpants because he think I was showing too much of my skin and I have to sit on his laps when we talk with Eli. I rolled my eyes at him. I didn't get it why he suddenly acted all possessive with me since we only talk with Eli.
"Tell me, what happened to you, Callum? Who dares to beat your lovely face like that?" That was the first question that Eli's asked me. He wanted to reach out my hand to show his concern when Liam slapped his hand away from me.
"Don't you fucking dare to touch him!" Liam gritted his teeth. Eli looked at Liam dumbfounded.
"Liam, don't be rude to Eli. He's only worried about me." I reprimanded him but Liam still scowled at Eli. I caressed his hand to calm him down and it worked like magic since Liam's frown slowly fades away from his face.
"It was nothing, Eli. There is a stupid homophobe at school who suddenly attacking me. The injuries are minor, so it's ok. You don't have to worry." I answered Eli's question while continue caressing Liam's hand on my thigh.
"There's no way that it's okay!? Your body is black and blue! Didn't you take a look at yourself in the mirror!?" Eli was scolding me but I didn't say anything back to him.
"Liam, how could you let this thing happened to him!?" Now he shoots a dagger at Liam. Liam clenched his teeth but didn't throw a fit.
"I couldn't agree more with you on that. It happened when I wasn't beside him. It was my mistake to left him alone at school." He said grimly.
"It wasn't your fault, Liam. It was come out of nowhere so it's no one fault. It caught me of guard too so I wasn't prepared. If I know, I could defend myself or punch him back hard enough to knock him out." I caressed Liam face to ease him.
Eli sighed. "Has Dylan and Alaina know about this?"
"No." I shook my head. "I haven't told them yet. It's only happened today."
"It's better if you tell them about it. They can help you."
"No need. I know the culprit so all I need to do is avoiding him. He's being watch by school because of his reckless behavior anyway. That's why, as long as I'm being careful around him he wouldn't dare to attack me again. And Eli, please don't tell Alaina and Dylan about this. I don't want them to worry and make a big deal out of it since it's only a small incident anyway." I said to him calmly.
