Callum POV
Evidence.
I had solid evidence.
That voice record could prove my innocence. There was no way my brother wouldn't believe me now, not after hearing that conversation between Mason and I.
What Liam did for me was amazing. And just a while ago, I resented him for visiting my house. I felt guilty for it now. Who would have thought that little stunt of his would have saved my life. I owe him one.
I probably would give Liam a big bear hug if we're not still inside the kitchen room. There was too much tension in here. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop and the air was suffocating, enough to make it hard to breath. My heart was beating like crazy as cold sweat started to break out under my skin. I hope this incident won't trigger another brawl again.
A few seconds in this room felt like eternity. Connor was the first one who broke the silence between the six of us.
"Mason..." My brother called.
He directed his eyes towards his boyfriend. The blond boy was freezed on the spot and was white as a sheet.
"What's the meaning of this?" My brother questioned him with a blank emotion. His pale blue eyes were cold as ice.
"You said to me it was Callum's fault. He was the one who came at you and I believe you. I FUCKING believe you..." He said. All eyes were on Mason now. Even Alaina and Dylan were looking at him in disbelief.
"But... it turns out, it was you... You were the one who actually harassing him... and you dare to lie to me and said that it was nothing important, you FUCKING BASTARD!" Connor said menacingly. His body was shaking with anger.
"Wa... Wait! I... I can explain—" Mason was gaping his mouth like a fish, shaking his head frantically as he put his hands up in the air, surrendering himself.
But before he could finish his sentence, my brother had punched him hard on the face, causing him to stumble back and hitting the wall behind him. My jaw dropped in shock. I never saw my brother this angry before.
The blond haired boy was groaning in pain, grabbing his bloody swollen cheek as he looked at my brother with eyes full of regret.
"There is nothing to explain. I don't want to hear your fucking excuses!" Connor spat at him.
"Baby, Please..." Mason whimpered. "I was drunk! I didn't mean to do it!" Connor ignored his plea and looked at his boyfriend with disgust.
"Get out." He told Mason coldly.
"No! Please listen to me first. Let me explain!" Mason demanded. He tried to grab my brother's hand but he slapped it away.
"I said GET OUT! I don't want to see your fucking face! I fucking hate you!" Connor screamed at him, making Mason flinch and stood rooted on the spot. My brother turned his back on him. But just before he was leaving, he dropped the ultimatum on Mason's face.
"I'm done with you. We're through." Said Connor, before he made his way out of the kitchen room and ran upstairs to go to his room.
"No.. NO! Connor, Wait!" Mason was about to chase my brother but I grabbed his arm to stop his move.
"Mason, stop it. Just leave him alone."
"No! Let me go! I need to talk to him!" He tried to jerk my hand off but I kept him still.
"Let him cool down first. It will only make things worse if you keep pestering him." I told him the truth.
When my brother was angry, he wouldn't listen to anyone, especially not to the person who dares to piss him off, a.k.a Mason, right now. And probably, the guy has become the number 1 position in Connor's hit list.
